I’d love to play some mid major and absolutely pulverize them but then again, I see Richt on the sideline and am terrified of getting embarrassed by a mid major.

If true, we should crush UAB making the possibility of a 3 game win streak to end the season. More justification in Richt’s mind that nothing needs to be changed, and that his offense just needed to be “executed”.

3 game streak??? We are going to beat Pitt with the same game plan we go into every game with just like last year
's game against Pitt? Good coach will beat bad coach, again, 1st sign of trouble richt will call the run into the middle of the line play with an OLine that can't stop a 3-man rush. Richt does not even understand the concept of using the athletes he has to scheme differently, he is a high school coach on offense that calls the same plays for every situation.

Both change and execution issues need to be examined. It's not an either or.

That had a lot more to do with the types of coaches we had than anything else. We made a pretty big jump from 2016 to 2017.

I wouldn't call the jump back from 16 to 17 was that big. Richt isn't that much worse than golden. I would consider it a baby step back.

Well in 2016 we ended the regular season unranked and in 2017 we ended the regular season at #7 with essentially a playoff game with Clemson. How in the world would you not consider that a big jump? That was one of the biggest jumps in the history of the program.

Yes and then we fell fell even further once Richt started to fill the team with his recruits.

I don't know why I even continue to talk to you. Are you saying that we lost to Clemson and Wisconsin because of the freshmen last year? I heard all offseason it was because of Malik.

No I am saying we had a good season last year because Goldens recruits were seniors. Like all the Richt slurpers say Kirby only had a good season last year because of Richts recruits. Now that goldens guys are mainly gone we are really in the Richt era.

Ok, you can have that point of view. But that has nothing to do with the jump we experienced from 2016 to 2017. Anyway, it's pretty obvious the younger guys brought in here by Richt are vastly superior to the upperclassmen, but again, you can have your point of view. I'd be interested to know which Golden players you think were so important to the success of 2017 that are no longer here.

plus team records does not necessarily speak to individual player development that can benefit from more practice and game experience (like a Weldon or Williams, for example) .

Exactly. Additional practices will always help. Anyone who understands process understands that it comes from practice/repetition. All of the people on here drooling for Williams should be ecstatic that he'll be getting the additional reps.
