Our Offense continues to be too predictable.

OL was getting whipped. Not much you can do on offense when U can't run and the QB has no confidence in his protection.

Guys were open.

Guys were not open. OL is bad but why continue running the simple and predictable play calling to put all the pressure on Rosier?
 
We went to the quick passing game last year whe we we having problems and it worked.

How many screens,slants,hooks,quick outs or anything other than a long fade route or 30 yd. throw did u see.If your line is having problems protecting the qb etc he ball out of his hands quickly.Not Richt.everything calls for a 7 step drop and 3-4 reads.This Oline ain’t holding any team out for 4-5 seconds.
 
Exactly what kind of complex plays you think we can run when the OL is getting crushed? Doesn't matter anyway, there were no holes, and we had no time to throw. That is death to ANY offense.

And WR's were open.

OL played like dog poo and #12 struggled as well.

This is what I’ve been saying as well. Our playbook seems to largely consist of run plays up the middle and deep routes. We need to just get the ball into the hands of our playmakers in space and let them run wild. Where are the quick slants and screens?

Did you watch the game? Rosier missed wide open screens and slants all game!
 
I'll say it again, till this Oline gets better at run blocking, this offense of Richts' will always have a hot-and-cold quality to it. And today, it had problems in pass pro which really bogged things down

till this unit upfront can consistently create 2nd and 5's and play-action opportunities, the offense will be spotty and reliant on chunk plays to bail them out. Richt simply doesn't have enough creativity to really mask this defiency

We actually ran a lot of those routes. Go back and watch i did. Most of you complainers that don't know what youre watching or complaining about. Go and watch the film again and you will see guys open, but were throwing to the wrong guy. Lots of times its trying to force the ball to Herndon.

Richt isn't perfect, but if Rosier wasn't dog****, he throws for 500+ today (threw for 365) and we score 40+. He was 16-38 and most of the misses were WIDE OPEN WRs he flat out missed. Yes, Richt's play calling leaves something to be desired, but it seems a lot worse when the QB is as bad as he was today.

There was one slant to Berrios(the one where he caught while on his back) that if it's a more accurate throw - that goes to the house

Also, there was deeper one Jeff thomas that if he puts it on him, that's another big play

He missed Richards on a simple out route after the blocked punt that would've put the ball inside the 5.

Much of this is on Rosier. Id love for some of our X-and-) guru's to be able to see the all-22 film and really analyze this

Even the screens to Berrios and Herndon were horrible throws. As said in another thread, he went onto the bus with a sling, so that might explain it. He needs to be 100% next week.
 
Looking ahead to the future and considering the discussion about QB play holding back the offense, it's going to be really interesting to see what happens if Sitkowski ever sees the field here.

Not a Golden holdover, but a hand-picked Richt QB recruit who's not being dropped (according to Pete) despite Gray Crow/Kevin Olsen-esque production in an offense filled with elite RB/WR/OL talent at IMG prior to his benching.
 
even our screen passes are shaky looking from Rosier....

Again, for the most part he's played well but he has certain limitations...

He certainly won't see it for a long time. Perry/Weldon are the QBs for the next 3-4 years at least, and you have to sign at least 1 QB every year, so hopefully we sign one better in '19.
 
Anyone that uses phrases like "imaginative playcalling" needs to be shot on sight. Jesus. This fanbase is the dumbest fanbase in college football.

A bunch of it is talent or lack there of...

OL is average, NO RB or TE depth. Number 1 WR is injured and were forced to play with 2 little guys, i.e. Berrios and Thomas.

I’m not buying this at all. This is on Richt. He has zero creativity with our Offense. Something is fundamentally wrong with our scheme.

Butch was a defensive guru as well, but he sure wouldn't be calling defenses.

Whoa whoa now I think we have 2 running plays... Granted they both end up off tackle so maybe 1.5. Sounds pretty hard to gameplan against
