Our linebackers

Need them to step and play like last year. We need an influx of talent at this spot. High end talents. No more settling

I expect things to get better as the season progresses. We criticized the LB's in 01 for **** near the entire season and didn't let up until Vilma almost killed a Nebraska player in the National Championship game.
 
What kind of depth do we have at linebacker? Rather thin, isn’t it? Wasn’t Richt making that a priority going into 2018?

This is the difference between us and, say, Bama or Clemson. They can lose one 5 Star and have a 4 Star ready to step in. We’re not there yet. Give us two years of Richt’s recruiting like he did up in Dawgville, it will be a different story.

Quartemain goes down, though? This defense is in trouble.
 
These are all sophomore backers. These kids are still learning. I agree totally the tackling is really disappointing among this group. Too much lunging at ball carriers and not enough wrapping up and getting guys on the ground. The one thing I wish Richt would do is hire an LB's coach, It spreads Diaz too thin trying to coach this group and make all the defensive calls especially in a game.
 
With the exception of McCloud, the LB's have held their own. Sometimes we can be too harsh. Now we have to do something about McCloud. I have watched his performance for every game. His FSU and GATECH games have been putrid.
