We haven't had top quartile P5 linebacker coaching since Barrow left. Brown and Aristide weren't terrible but also weren't top quality. And Baker, Patke and Diaz were scrubs.

Charlie strong IMHO is the best LB coach we've had since before our last national championship. Let's see what real coaching can do.

Hurlie was a guy that would have been better under a decent DC. He was the one guy in the room that truly understood what it takes to win, the problem was that his immediate supervisor is a complete moron.

2019-2020 Blake Baker (Inside) / John Patke (Outside) - Baker failed upwards from S coach at Mizzou to DC within months. Patke is DC at Incarnate Ward
2021 John Patke (Inside) Ishmale Aristide (Outside) - Aristide now CB coach at Duke.
2022- Charlie Strong - We know the story

You can do this same exercise with just about every other positional group. We've hired absolute morons to coach our players that have gone on to do very little with their career after leaving. Very few coaches have actually continued to get promoted after leaving Miami.

Lol, you absolutely have to be joking with making it seem like Randy Shannon wasn't a great LB coach for us. Who cares what he did after picking up HC...or do I need to pull out the list of guys he coached as LB/DC for us.

That and also "Barrow is out of coaching" has nothing to do with him being able to find jobs. He had a long NFL career and was last the AHC with the Seahawks. He probably wanted to take some time away from the rigorous schedule of coaching and possibly get into other endeavors.
