Our last drive

No rationale. Maybe it was about keeping the offense in its usual rhythm vs. slowing it down and ****ing up the offensive flow.

This is your answer. Like it or not, we aren't a slow, methodical, pounding offense. We rely on tempo and rhythm to move the football. Better to keep moving the ball and get a score than drain clock and not score.

Correct. If we have a power run game, then bleed clock. Our zone run is greatly helped by a d line that is still trying to get set and gassed. Just how team is built. If you try to bleed clock to zero, they have time to substitute, get set and proper defensive calls. I don't like our zone run blocking, but it gets the most out of what we have. When we have an OL full of Donaldson's we run out the clock. Still getting there.

Are we recruiting that kind of player all across the board now?

CMR has made the more aggressive choice in most situations this year. An exception was not going for it on 4th and goal from the 1 early on. Wasn't surprised we didn't sit on the ball on that last drive.

Sitting on a 1 point lead is always a bad idea. If it’s 3 or 7 maybe. Don’t listen to the accouncers so much. Those guys don’t always look at the score they look at the situation and apply the same rule every time. “You have a lead with 3.5 minutes kill clock”.

We needed a TD to ensure that if anything crazy happened we’d be locked in for OT. It was the right call to get the points and trust your defense 1 more time.

We could've got the TD and milked the clock, they're not mutually exclusive. Also, how about forcing Cuse to use a TO? How about emphasizing Herndon instead of the low % plays?

These plays stand out:

1st and 10 at MIAMI 15
(5:13 - 4th) Malik Rosier pass incomplete to Dionte Mullins

- Herndon was not in on this play
- This was a low % throw into double coverage, clock stops

1st and 10 at MIAMI 28
(4:37 - 4th) Malik Rosier pass incomplete to Jeff Thomas

- Herndon was not in on this play
- This was a bad throw to Thomas as he headed for the sideline.
- If Thomas catches it he is running out of bounds
- We left 11 seconds on the clock with the early snap

1st and 10 at MIAMI 47
(4:00 - 4th) Travis Homer run for 6 yds to the Syrac 47

- We left 25 seconds on the clock with the early snap

2nd and 4 at SYR 47
(3:35 - 4th) Travis Homer run for 6 yds to the Syrac 41 for a 1ST down

- We left 20 seconds on the clock with the early snap

1st and 10 at SYR 41
(3:11 - 4th) Travis Homer run for 5 yds to the Syrac 36

- We left 22 seconds on the clock with the early snap

[Please note the next play was a penalty on Cuse, we left 25 seconds on the clock with the early snap]

1st and 10 at SYR 33
(2:54 - 4th) Malik Rosier pass incomplete to Braxton Berrios

- Herndon is in on this play but stays home to pass block.
- Rosier almost throws a INT here as he throws into double coverage. The ball is also placed in an area where if completed to Berrios, he is likely going to run out of bounds.
