Our Freshman Punter...

He’s been a issue all year imo. Scholarship kicker who can’t kick it over 40 yards shanks one all the time

Isn't this the only blocked punt through 10 games? Aren't we undefeated? Anyone know the return yard average when we punt?

if herndon doesn't give the worst effort i've ever seen on any play...ever, then this thread is never started

issue all year??? What game has he come close to costing us, none. FSU game he had them inside their 20 all day. He did have a negative punt but only 1 lol. He may not boot 50 yarders often but he gets good hang time and 19 return yards on 51 punts is really good. Not sure why everyone on here gets on Feagles.

Hartley needs to address this. I know his dad was a longtime pro, but his ST coach should be in his *** daily on technique.

seriuosly makes me nervouse anytime he comes in but give the kid credit--when we needed him to boom one late in the 4th deep in our territory he came thru. he still sucks

First before going further I agree he has plenty of room for improvement. I disagree with him being as bad as some think. He is ave 38.49 yards per punt. As one poster pointed out only 19 return yards on his punts the whole season. His Father is in the Canes hall of fame. While his Father did occasionally boom one for distance in truth his ave not much better than Zach. Ths most important stat in punting to me is return yardage allowed. That comes more from.hang time more than distance. Something his Father was good at and so far Zach has too.Good hang time allows good coverage forcing a lot of fair catches. Below is his Fathers ave at UM.

lol... Do u watch the games...

he seems to shank about one in five thus far this season. aside from that, the other four are usually pretty decent. I think he will be much improved next year. however, as someone mentioned in another thread, our lack of a true ST specialist on staff maybe is a hindrance to his development

OUR 13 YARD PUNTER!!! MUTHA ****A KICKED A GOD **** 13 YARD PUNT.... THATS HIS NEW NAME "13" ***** JUST BAD LUCK

Now this somamb@tch we can do without for real! I cring every time we have to punt it. You would think with as many 3 and outs our offense has had, that he made use of that extra practice.

He's a Fr who needs time and good coaching.
The latter part I'm wondering about. Special teams are average at best with this team

Dammit ma
He does that to allow the coverage to get downfield, which is why no one ever returns vs us.

That's coaching.

As usual, CIS bashes a player for a dumb reason
Dammit mane... this might be the dumbest post ever... What's the use of holding a punt that long to only kick it 13 yards out of bounds or risk getting it blocked for a return.
