OP was slurping Diaz for most of the year, and then was pretending to hate Diaz after the FIU game.
I guess that with the latest staff moves and new transfers, the OP has stopped pretending to hate Diaz.

Let’s stop crowning guys the best since 2003..17 dline would like a quick word with u on thisSeriously, this is the best overall the DL will look in over a decade and a half and will be IMO the best pass rushing DE's we've had since 91' & 92'.
EVERYONE on D will benefit from the threat of GR & Roche. Our DT's will definitely owe those two some steak dinners on them for all of the low hanging fruit coming their way.
If we are lucky enough to make it to the ACCCHGM, I expect to get worked over by Clemson again, but the only thing that gives me a tiny sliver of hope is the constant pressure that we would put on Sunshine. And, I believe the Tigers lose some top performers on their OL. Meanwhile, back on planet earth...
Look, it'll just be fun to watch a Cane DL dominate week after week! I think we all deserve it after the crap we've had to endure for the better part of 2 decades.
By your criteria ford, miller, holley, harrison hunte does but it hasn't been proven yet. So i get your point!!I don't know about that. I like where we are with our DEs but I don't see a difference maker at DT. For this defense to be a truly great Miami defense we need to see one of the DTs develop into a dominant player. The team from two years ago that dominated had dominant play from McIntosh/Norton.
Looking at the current crop of DTs who has the combination of length, power, athleticism, technique and twitch necessary to be unblockable one-on-one?
I don't have any beef with this other than Rousseau will only be inside on third downs. As long as Ivey doesn't start I'm cool.We all agree that a defense should be tailored to the players at hand.
If the goal is having the best available personnel on the field then it's high time we shifted to a 3-3-5 base.
3 1-gap down linemen at all times with a stand-up viper who will also drop back into coverage on exotic zone blitzes.
DE Phillips / Blissett / Roberts / Cam W
NT Silvera / Miller / Holley
DT Rousseau / Ford / Hunte
VIPER Roche / Harvey / Chantz / Q-Will
MLB McCloud / Joyner / Jennings / Flagg
WLB Brooks / Huff / Cave / Steed
STRIKER Frierson / Smith / Washington
CB Blades / Williams / Dunson
CB Couch / Ivey / Clarke
SS Bolden / Carter / Balom
FS Hall / Avantae / Harrell
This is essentially what the defense is. Diaz has even started using the same terminology of “viper” as DE/OLB hybrid player. Here’s the thing though. The first time any DE/Viper drops back into coverage, 500 retards will be on here *****ing that Diaz/Baker don’t use them correctly. We all agree that a defense should be tailored to the players at hand.
