It’s the kind of game every team has at least once. Even the 2001 team had the BC game. Mensah was off for sure. Lost a starting safety and Fletcher was hurt. Thornton does not need to be the deep safety.

Injuries and Poyser being out necessitated it. But knowingly choosing to blitz Dunningan I believe instead was stupid. Blitzing at all there was stupid honestly.

Why it wasn't Thorton blitzing and Dunningan being the over the top safety was a baffling decision by Heatherman. One of his worst decisions he's made since being here.

We have multiple major injuries to the room AND lost a player to targeting in their second drive.

I think going forward they should blitz LESS though, even though that seems to be their plan to deal with the issues in the secondary.
