Plus he had lance right where he wanted him. We never adjusted to the tempo. Not once. We were always late lining up. And that hurt us

Sounds about right. Which is why I was able to say with 100% confidence they have better coaches. I hope watching #9 repeatedly beat us on 3rd and long was humbling for Guidry.

I don't believe we were outcoached, I believe your other 2 points are 1000% correct. We lost the turnover battle 3-0, with 2 of the turnovers being completely unforced. That's not bad coaching nor being outcoached. That's beating ourselves, and it falls on the players just making mistakes that you can't make if you want to beat a team as good as you or better, on the road. We coached and played well enough to win the game or at least have it one-possession at the end of the game, but you can't fumble going into the endzone, you can't botch a snap after 4 successful plays in a row when you're rolling into opponent's territory, and you can't throw a pick on your own 20 yard line, ESPECIALLY when the team you're playing does none of that (although they did try, we're just incapable of getting a bounce to go our way, it seems).

We coached OK and played OK, we just aren't nearly good enough as players or coaches to give the ball away 3 times and win.

Me too man but fvck just unlucky as ****. 24-14 at minimum. That’s a 99% TD and the strip sack is at least a safety if not TD more often then not

Yep guidry tried to throw different looks but by that time the oc had a groove and the run game was going too so its was like pick your poison..we played the pass them they broke off a 60 yard run lmao just a masterclass

I cant say you’re completely wrong because if we dont make those mistakes its a closer game then who knows but i really think their oc out coached guidry in the 2nd half, his adjustments clicked. We weren’t prepared for the tempo which is insane to me, he knew what look’s would get what and they made the plays.

You think when our quarterback makes one of very few bad decisions he makes all night that their linebacker is allowed to drop the ball? **** NO, HOMIE. Nevermind we didn't have an actual wide receiver make a catch that good in 12 games last year, pay no attention to that.

Their QB is also awesome. He doesn't make mistakes. Hang on....I'm getting something in my ear. What's that? Oh...he did make a mistake? He lofted a ball into double coverage on his own 20 yard line? Wow...well what happened? We picked it off and returned it for a touchdown? No!?!?!?! Why the **** not?! Ohhhhhhhh....our safety batted the ball down as our corner was about to catch it and jog into the endzone. Ha ha ha ha, no problem!!

The universe hates us. Period. It's all that ******* troll Donna Shalala's fault. When you tear down the Orange Bowl, this is what happens.

Also running on the field while official stands over the center on 4th down doesn't fall on the players.

dude thanks for this! I can't stop laughing because this is almost verbatim the convo I had with my gf (who's a UW alumn, painful team comps). The end zone fumble after the hit for a freaking yardage GAIN!!! or that **** floating duck about to land in a cb's hands on their 20! Chips don't seem to ever land in our favor.

I didn't either until he ran 4.4. The Hurricanes have a special talent for making players look better than they are.
 
I wouldn't go that far. UNC hung 41 points and 500+ yards on us. We couldn't stop Walker and Hampton in the 2nd half. Even without our mistakes, that's probably a shootout loss.

We were better than UNC in the first half with little to show for it due to our mistakes. They had an equally dominant 3rd compounded by more mistakes.

4th Q you can throw away since UNC kinda went in to kill clock mode but we did technically win that Q also on the scoreboard.

Bottomline if we don't fumble twice and commit idiotic penalties that game is a squeaker and the country thinks UNC is our equal and not our Daddy.
