Masters - the year Nick Faldo won on the 11th hole (playoff holes). What an amazing place that is.
U.S. Open at Torrey Pines (2008): just an incredible Open. One of the best ever. Tiger holing that putt on 18 (downhill left-to-right slide on greens that do get bumpy at the end of the day) was the most clutch thing I've ever seen in person.
England Game at Wembley: It was only England vs Hungary but what an incredible setting Wembley is.
Chelsea: various regular seasons games.

I know this is not supposed to include Canes games, but I gotta throw in:

Rose Bowl: Miami vs Nebraska. This was such a special event from the Flyover to start the game (which was poignant at that moment in time) to watching Andre Johnson get open on that 1st TD, the Vilma hits and so many other moments in the grandaddy of them all was special.

Miami vs FSU (OB; 1988): 31-0. Just an incredible performance in the OB. Clinical performance in the season opener (which is a rarety for most teams). One of the best team performances in any sport of all time. Deion who?

Miami vs ND (at ND; 1988): The infamous Catholics vs Convicts game. Driving up to South Bend, I was struck by just how much of a cowpatch South Bend, Indiana is. Well, at least it's not Gary, IN. Yikes. I knew the game would be special though. We unfortunately got robbed on the Cleveland Gary non-fumble. Rocket also ran back a return which was pretty rare against Miami in those days. Our special teams were serious back then. A painful "loss" for sure (and one that was really a victory for us) but a special event to have attended nonetheless.

Miami vs ND (OB; 1989)
: Payback in the Old Girl. Man did the OB rock that night. An electric night that will never be forgotten. This game had everything. Intense rivalry on the biggest stage in CFB (no other game even comes close to Miami vs ND when both are elite). From the insane 3rd & 44 (gracias to Erickson & Randall Hill) to Tiger Clark's highly memorable INT, this game had it all. The atmosphere was incredible all night long & the good guys won.

As great as the Masters was (and some years it produces indelible moments that are tough to beat), I'll take any of the above Miami Hurricanes games over the other experiences.

1996 Big East championship game. Georgetown with Allen Iverson vs UConn with Ray Allen.

1994 Patriots-Dolphins when Marino and Bledsoe went off.

This was more of a single moment. 1997 Andres Galleraga hit a grand slam at Pro Player that landed 2/3 of the way up the upper deck.

2011 Bama-LSU game of the century. Game was not great, but the atmosphere on campus was unreal. It was a night game and there was 50000+ fans on campus by noon.

I sat behind home plate for the first game of the World Series at our home team park Tampa vs Phillies. With my Dad.

Was at the Galaraga game, wow. My 70yr old demented dad still mentions that hit

Texas vs. USC in the Rose Bowl. Spent a couple days in Vegas before flying out to LA. Unbelievable experience

Iowa @ Michigan football game circa 1992-1993. Just a regular Big Ten game but the day was beautiful, and the grass was unbelievably green. I've always disliked The Wave but seeing 100,000+ in a bowl shaped stadium doing it was impressive, I have to admit.

1997 Marlins Championship

2001 Yankees marlins (?) marlins lost at yankee stadium

Portland timber MLS championship
Marlins vs Yankees was 2003... Still shocked the Yanks lost but good for the Marlins... Great series...

A lifetime ago I once received four tickets to a late season game a Shea stadium. The Mets and the Cubs were battling it out to see who would make it into the playoffs. Both teams had their ACE pitchers on the mound. Dwight Gooden was pitching for the Mets and a I don't remember the name of the Cubs ACE. My tickets were right behind home plate, one deck up. I had always heard about Dr K's curve ball. Well, believe me, you have no idea how hellacious Gooden's curve was until you saw it from my perspective. If I was a hitter I'd be scared to death as that ball came straight at my head and then broke over over the plate at the last second. BTW...the Mets won.

Got to see the playoff game in '04 where Wade went off against Indiana and put himself on the map. Knew right then the Heat had lucked into something special and could win a championship building around him.

1985 Monday Night Football at the Orange Bowl, Bears vs Dolphins. Undefeated streak snapped. Bedlam after Nat Moore's tipped catch for TD.

Game 6 of ECF Pistons vs Heat. Miami Heat knocks off Pistons to win the ECF. Shaq was still Shaq back then. White Chocolate had the game of his life.

Game 4 of NLCS, Giants vs. Marlins. This was the Conine to Pudge play at home plate for the final out of the game.

Game 7. 1999 NBA Playoffs. Knicks vs Heat. #8 seed Knicks eliminate #1 Heat on last second shot by Allan Houston. I felt like crap for a month afterwards.

World Baseball Classic, USA vs. Dominican Republic. Marlins Park gets rocking like never before.

Game 3 of NHL Finals. Avalanche vs FL Panthers. We lost that game and eventually the series, but what a ride. And can't forget about the rats

Opening day at Fenway Park. It's a holiday. Kids don't go to school that day. Stadium is at capacity an hour prior to 1st pitch. Highly recommend all to attend at least once.

2016 World Series Game 3 at Wrigley Field. I'll confess I wasn't able to cop tickets for the game. Tickets were at astronomical prices for the Cubs first crack at a WS ring since 1908. Being in Wrigleyville was a cool experience nonetheless.

Rutgers was our perennial whipping boy except for one of he last games played at RU before we bolted to the ACC. Butch was the coach and we were getting our butts kicked throughout the first half. The team played a bit better in the 3rd but we were still behind heading into the 4th quarter. I was sitting with other Cane fans down around the end zone when we collectively started to cheer our heads off. RU had the ball inside our 15 and the cheering awakened the Canes (finally). We held, got the ball back and scored and then scored two more times. It was proof positive of the power that fans have over the outcome of a game.
