Other Saturday 11/29 Games Thread

Tie breaker wasn't the issue as much as the schedule. Virginia and Duke make ACC title despite not playing any of the top 5 ACC teams. Needs fixing.
you cant know that ahead of time who is going to be in the drivers seat when the schedules are set 5 years or so in advance. too many teams to play everyone. tie breaker rules have failed

If Lane Kiffin takes LSU job and declines to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs, the committee HAS to drop them a few spots, no?

So the team that beat Boston college by 15 points only has a larger margin of victory against Syracuse. In other words, a bad opponent is boosting their total margin of vicotry against common opponents.

We beat them (closely; just like when we played em!) in the margin game against Pitt, Stanford, and NC State.

They really should be in the playoffs; they’re better than Bama and OU; but those 3 schools should be stressing — not us.

The more I think about it, the more I think we jump ND on Tuesday.

5 of our 12 games were against common opponents or each other. We obviously beat them, and beat the common opponents by more in 3 of 4.

3 of ND's non-common opponents finished 2-10 (BC, Purdue, Ark). Meanwhile, we only had 2 non-common cupcakes (Bethune and Vtech, both of which finished better than 2-10).

So ND's only argument is that going 3-1 against Navy, A&M, Boise and USC > us beating them, playing 1 fewer high school team, and going 3-2 against SMU, Lville, UF, FSU, and USF.
