I think we can jump BYU when the new rankings come out. The committee has already shown they have no respect for BYU. If we don't jump them, we have to hope they lose to Texas Tech in the BIG12 championship.

If Bama wins today, they will play in the SEC championship and we have to hope for them to have a convincing loss. Even Bama dropping 2 spots would help us.

There is still a glimmer of hope, but it's fading fast.

The good thing about everyone watching these games is that maybe our fan base will finally realize how bad the offenses are in college football and that we actually have it pretty good with our "slow, plodding meathead offense".

Why is everyone just assuming that the ACC champion gets a playoff slot no matter what? My understanding of the criteria is every team outside of Miami needs help and mercy from the committee to get in the playoffs even IF they win the ACC championship game.

And if the committee is absolutely determined to get ND in, this would be their out. No slot for the ACC champion and Miami is the only ACC rep.
