Not at all, and I probably should have been clearer. I just have a suspicion that if CFB contracts to the point where all the power concentrates in the SEC for decades - perpetually - and per the other threads - you will start to see a lot of colleges drop the sport. It’s a money loser for most colleges, and I am guessing that injury concerns and liability will be used as the excuse necessary to start eliminating football in states outside of that SEC regional stronghold. It will primarily be a financial decision sold as a health decision, and I think that by 2050 the number of college football programs will be similar to the number of NFL franchises, to which they’ll likely be official minor league affiliates.

Also, pointing out that Mario Cristobal is not elite at recruiting is not "hate". The dude makes 4.5 million dollars a year coaching a team with almost unlimited bag supply. Hate would be saying that Cristobal has a tiny willy or that his hair looks boring. His life, I am sure about that, has been going really well. I dont hate the guy at all lol I dont know him.

He’s been there for what? 3 years? His classes already are some of the highest in school history. Oregon rarely got top 10 classes.

Didn't he have like 2 players from FIU drafted? Shouldn't even be a question.

And for the NIL, we're about to find out that it all about the fandom/ alumi not the market. These 6 and 7 figures are being tossed around for players who haven't done anything.

I've already had this discussion with someone who actually thought Cristobal wasn't an elite recruiter.

Oregon had two recent national championship appearances followed by zero Top 10 classes. Cristobal comes and they get their first two Top 10 classes in program history. 2022 is looking like the third which will make it 3 out of the last 4 years with Top 10s. It would be 4/4 but they finished 11 in 2020.

Yea it will be all about the fans/alumni and we aren't good with that. That's why people saying we would clean up I thought more it would stay the same. Cause teams were doing the whole cheating thing anyway. Also that Johnny Manziel jersey signing thing he spoke of I knew right there the SEC would do that and much much more.

Yea 1 thing he can do is recruit. He’s elite at that. As a coach, he’s still developing but he could recruit. Dude had AB at FIU before he was involved in an incident then headed to CMU. He then replaces him in the following class with TY Hilton. Johnathan Cyprien gets drafted is the 1st pick of the 2nd round(my bad I kept saying 1st). Then he offers Jonnu Smith before he gets fired. One thing he can do is recruit. I really didn’t understand how you were receiving push back from that. It’s not like you called him the goat HC.

Y’all are both right. It’s with the fans/alumni. Market can help but these college towns earn so much money from the players they are finally giving them a piece of the pie.
 
Does this mean that Addias needs to step up their NIL game with Miami. Aren’t we supposed to be a flagship school for them ???

All coinciding with USC being down...you left out that part.

Mario is an elite recruiter....But almost all those schools out west are some trash in the pac 12....and Oregon is supposedly the top dog out west.

Oregon never really had a "recruiter" as a head coach really if i can recall. He is the first one ....i think previously for them to had real good classes to kick off they had guys dropping bags in texas and doin illegal sh*t.
