I mean, it has been combined already and a top 10 class is still the exception, not the rule. Considering that Mario is such a great recruiter, the effect should be more drastic, especially because of Nike.

Also, pointing out that Mario Cristobal is not elite at recruiting is not "hate". The dude makes 4.5 million dollars a year coaching a team with almost unlimited bag supply. Hate would be saying that Cristobal has a tiny willy or that his hair looks boring. His life, I am sure about that, has been going really well. I dont hate the guy at all lol I dont know him.

I know people who knew him and can tell you he is an exceptional recruiter and above that, person. People who’s opinion I’ll take over the clueless internet fans who are haters.

Well, one thing is clear: You do seem to love him a lot, way more that I could ever hate him (especially considering I dont know the guy).

But hey, once your little feelings arent so hurt over someones respectful opinion, I am sure that the concept of hate will enter your head and it might make sense then. Until that happens, I am fairly sure that Oregon has some nice jerseys in stock for you since you appear to support their head coach so much.

So now it isn’t just Nike but it’s his assistants? No where have you given him any credit for their success at recruiting since he has taken over? At a school (you claim is easy to recruit at) who has only been top 10 in recruiting once, since 2000, before he became a head coach? Lol. Can’t make this up.

Oh gosh, how dare we say that he isnt elite and only "very good"... His feelings are surely hurt now. I wonder if he can live with that.

I just find it amazing to see how someone on the internet gets more upset about a simple opinion about Cristobal compared to Cristobal himself, probably.

I highly doubt he cares about this board. So if you choose to be invested in, dont be such a wimp.

I just don't consider him an elite recruiter and thats fine if you do. He never was prior to his time at Alabama where IMO it isnt hard to recruit.

Whatever he learned under Saban he definitely brought to Oregon which has unlimited resources.

If he became the HC here Id be interested to see what he could do

He has two top 10 recruiting classes and that's two more than Oregon has had in their history of recruiting. If it was so easy to recruit there bc it's a Nike school then other coaches would have finished in the top 10.

I never said its easy.

He also didnt have two top 10 recruiting classes. Its from 2018-2020. Currently he has another lined up, but that isnt finished yet.

The coaches before him were Taggart, Helfrich and Kelly. These are mid recruiters, Cristobal is at least one class ahead there.

Its also not like perception can change.

2021 class is done and over with and Oregon is ranked number 6. 2019 is 7th.

Oregon has been to the national championship twice recently and never had a recruiting class finish in the top 10. Cristobal had 2 in 3 years.
