How do you predict Fuente will do at Va Tech and Mendenhall will do at UVA? Could they make the division better? I can't imagine that either of them can be worse than Mike London or the aging Frank Beamer. (Not the Frank Beamer of 1993-2011.)

Also I'm wondering if Ga Tech will finally fire corch Paul Johnson after this year. Everybody realizes he's a corch except people nostalgic for option football. Al Golden went 3-1 vs Paul Johnson for God's sake.

Maybe the SEC East will move behind the ACC Coastal as the most godawful Power 5 Division.

It's unbelievable how corch filled the SEC East is. I'm not going to judge Smart and Odom yet. But the other 5 coaches in that division are all corches.

Can't believe London outcorched Golden repeatedly. I think Mendenhall is legit - still have doubts on Fuente.

Bronco Mendenhall absolutely SMOKED manny diaz's defense so bad that Manny was fired like a dog immediately after the game and was sentenced to work in the Sun Belt for the next two years while he pieced his life and sanity back together

Old Bronco's BYU team of white, slow, and some say Mormon athletes ran for like 600 yards against Diaz's Star studded texas defense

Guess what I'm saying is beware of ole Bronco. He will eat your soul

Between the two Fuente will do better. His offense with bud fosters defense will be nightmares.

Bronco will be a perennial 3rd but he will beat tech more than london thats for sure.

It's hard to deny that Diaz's 2011 season is a red flag. But I'm sure he's learned stuff in the last 5 years.

All this worry over Diaz. what you need to ask yourself is "is he significantly better tha. That last *******"? If the answer is yes, then we can win 20+ games in the next 2 years, then figure out if he's good enough to get us where we need to be.

I agree. This year's meeting with Virginia has a chance to be Manny's redemption song. He can emancipate himself from mental slavery and really free his mind.

I like to think of the last 5 years in Manny's career, when he was in the Sub Belt and back as Mississippi State, as sort of the 80's training scene montage of his life.

It's like the scene in a Stalone movie where he's chopping wood and punching a raw ham and running up a snowy mountain with a log over his shoulders. Except instead of Stalone, it's Manny. And instead of all that other stuff, it was the Sun Belt

And now he is back, stronger and ready for revenge

ACCCD might have 2 yrs +/- before we can see how tough UVA and VT are. Without a doubt, Bronc's job is much tougher than Fuente's.

Can he [Bronc] recreate the magic he had at BYU? Im not certain he can, but not his fault...BYU has significantly more support for football than buttoned up UVA...just not a priority for BOT.

So...why go from BYU to UVA then??? My guess is he is betting on himself to do/show just enough that a legitimate contender D1P5 school will.come calling and hire him away. He's made it known for years he wants a fighting chance to the CFP pool, and BYUs independent status (likely to remain for years to come for a number of reasons) wasn't ever going to change on his timeline.

He will make UVA better than London, that Im sure, but will it be enough???

Fuente's situation is a lot like Golden's when he first arrived to Miami. Solid program down on its luck. VT and Fuente are betting he can conjure his offensive magic, and benefit from.better personnel in place today than he's ever had to work with....but...he will also fave D unit's that are much better top to.bottom as well.

Does he take the next step in his career, or flame out like Golden?? Won't know until a few seasons in. Also, how long can rhe Fuente/ Foster shotgun marriage last???

Texas had a star studded defense that year?

You sure about that? Or did you just pull that out of your *** for effect. Because, quite frankly, I don't think you have a clue.

This season Bronco doesn't scare me. The only things that concern me going forward with UVA are:

>I like his O-coordinator Anae. He has shown the ability throughout his career (especially at BYU) to adapt his offense to his personnel. I believe they will be running a version of the Air Raid O this season.

>I'm worried about Bronco/Anae (Samoan)/Atuaia (Samoan from Kahuku H.S. in Hawaii. If you don't know about this football powerhouse google it) tapping in to the poly pipeline and putting together some monster lines on offense and defense in the next 2-3 seasons.

The biggest question mark for Bronco at UVA is if he will be able to handle the off the field issues of the average non-mormon college football progrum.

On a side note Mark Atuaia (UVA RB corch) is quite the renaissance man

Jerrod Evans is the X-factor for VA Tech, he's an electric playmaker, he had some of the best JUCO tape I've ever seen.

GT has 4 10 win seasons since 1957 Paul Johnson has 2 of them.
