Players need this to work out. They don’t make any money in college football and too many guys can’t make an NFL roster. This gives them a nice wage for a regular living and a chance to develop or recover from a setback.

Seems like a good crowd for this first game. Stadium isn’t empty and the fans are louder than I expected.

LOL, AAF had nice 1st week crowds too.

If they ever want one of these leagues to work they need to open it up to players out of HS as an option other than college. Because the NFL basically has a free farm league in the college game. Though this would hurt us the most with all the grade casualties in Florida.

they actually can. They have one player who was suspended for his third college season so he’s playing in the XFL as a way get some tape for NFL teams.

Difference is, Vince McMahon invested almost a billion dollars into the XFL.

It’s built to last this time.

AAF almost missed payroll in Week 2.

They also got a much better TV deal than the AAF and they have an experienced football executive in Oliver Luck running things.

I’m not gonna lie, I love this so far. It’s only been a half, but they set this up nicely. Having good refs is nice, sideline interviews, good TV deals, good players. This is meant to last. Love the kickoff rule too, much safer. I do like hearing the coaches and also the 25 second playclock is a cool rule
