OT: who is your other favorite team?

Huge Canes and Lakers fan here.

Between the two - they are the biggest disappointments in their respective sports. Heck, they might be the most disappointing teams in all of sports! It’s been quite a suck fest for me this year.

I hope with where Miami football is at the moment -

A) we can return to winning again

B) your other favorite team is having a good year.

Go Canes!!
In this particular sport? The Carolina Panthers.

In other sports? Blackburn Rovers (football), Wigan Warriors (rugby league), Lancashire CCC (cricket) and the Oakland A's (although I've not watched a game for years).

Thank you for listening to my TEDtalk.

Bills - first game I ever saw was Bills Cowboys when they lost their 4th straight. Felt bad for them adopted them (grew up in Germany)
SuperSonics because they would show a lot of their games because of Detlef Schrempf now it’s Miami Heat
Florida Panthers
Baltimore Orioles
****nal London
German, Swiss and US Nat teams because I lived in those countries

MLB - Phillies
EPL - Liverpool
NFL - Bills

Phillies were a pleasant surprise. Liverpool have been disappointing. Bills TBD.

Canes Football
Canes Bball
Canes Beisbol
Yankees
Carolina Hurricanes
AC Milan

Sidenote...watching Milan win the Scudetto last year brought tears to my eyes. In the moment I remember thinking wtf has happened to me. All of my teams sucked for so long, a win meant everything.

Pretty much all the Miami/South Florida teams besides the Marlins.

The only fandom my family brought with them from New Jersey is the Yankees.

MLB- Cardinals
NFL- Bengals

I also enjoy watching Oregon games. Their rise with Chip Kelly reminded me of a mini Miami. Microwave dynasty. Even though they haven’t won a championship. I also loved watching Lamichael James run the ball. That man was a beast in college

Philadelphia Eagles

Red Sox when I used to care about baseball - when they won the Series in '04 it kind of killed my love of baseball - like, what else is there after this? The identity of a Sox fan for my entire life had been that of always falling just short. After reaching the pinnacle it just felt....like it was over.

Philadelphia Union

Manchester City

The USMNT is I guess the only other team I would consider I have a huge drive to cheer for, but that is an exercise in futility. I accept that the national team will never be legitimately good or a true contender for any meaningful trophies during my lifetime.

Fair enough... everyone is different with differing interests. I did leave out hockey... I'm starting to like it with the Panthers, but only on TV. My stepson goes to Panther games often and says it's great live.
Yeah ya gotta go to game to see in person.

Canes and Dodgers

Me too.
Are you old enough to remember October 15, 1988?

That day:
Miami loses to ND in what was the 3 most frustrating, costly defeats in the history of the program.
Natty gone

That night:
Kirk Gibson hits an improbable 9th inning HR in game 1 of the WS.
Championship won.

Man, what a roller coaster ride that day was.
