Was in the semis of a tennis tournament Sept 30th. (Up f_ing 5-0 in second set) "snap!" (Or "pop", or both) and my right knee is ****ed.
Won last game on one leg, had to default finals, and basically, 24/7 pain, extreme, couldn't walk, etc. This went on until Monday. Almost four weeks of constant excruciating pain. Couldn't sleep for more than ten minutes. Doctors said Meniscus, and probably worse stuff.
Had MRI last monday. This Monday, before orthedpedic visit, I wake up, and ZERO pain. No pain, whatsoever. Ime it never happened. I bebop to appointment, and the results were a grade 3 Meniscus Tear, and a bunch of grade 2 tears on things that I never heard of, and sound made up. (Radial tears, lateral tears, anteriors, etc)
Well, dr. Says he can't believe the pain stopped, and I had full motion, could jump, etc. Says to come back if it goes bad again, to hear surgical options.
I'm taking MRI to my Canes game buddy (who was the Canes Football radiologist for ten years) to review.
Anyway, I started serving yesterday, and no pain at all. Hit this morning, and I'm 100%. Gonna start training for State Closed Championships on Nov 10th.
Anyone know a grade 3 Meniscus Tear? Is this normal, 4 weeks of total disability, and then immediate full recovery without treatment?
I was scared. This was my first knee injury ever.
BTW, anyone use Solinco Poly strings? OMG, tried them for that tournament, and Its a monster! I was literally bouncing kick serves over opponents head for aces. Hit him in face once, the serve just rocksts off the court. Best stuff ever
