Wuhan virus*
I can see football not happening but would not bet on it. Empty stadiums in some states, sparse seating in others, maybe 1/3 seating in others but all will be on TV and that is the $$$. Players take bigger risk on each play than this. They will test players every day before practice.Football isn’t happening. States opening will be temporary

Lots of states probably didn't need to do total shut down to start with. Why do you think they will not be able to stay open? I do see a massive risk of people in the states still shut down fleeing to open states -- I live in Palm Beach and those frigging NYC smucks were flying in here like crazy and suddenly we have highest death total in state. Really need to close lot of internal borders but I doubt we will. Interested in your reasoning. Not much else to talk about.
Even with testing every day before practice, all it takes is one to bring it and it spreads for days before someone even pops positive. Then the others that have been around him start popping positive and so on so forth. I really want this all to go away and get back to normal, but I think between the government, leagues, players unions, lawsuits and players themselves all coming together to be on the same page don't really seem to line up for a season this year. Really hope I am wrong, but I just don't see it. Walmart already has a wrongful death suit filed against them just the other day from an employee who got sick and died from the Wuhan flu. Can you imagine the lawsuits filed from star athletes families? This is uncharted territory..... Hope I am wrong.I can see football not happening but would not bet on it. Hey, it is uncharted so you can't really be wrong. King Dollar will have big voice among the sports world. If media starts hinting that $$$ will not be coming it seasons get cancelled lots of positions can get agreeable especially in football. I have no idea what is in CBA for NFL or players contracts but if there is a way to not pay players they will agree to play. If owners can get money from TV they will play in empty stadium. Some sort of self-insurance fund for the league for players who get sick ..... things can be worked out. Basketball is more China centric so it will do what China tells it to do unless the back lash building against China gets so bad that it is US or them deal, then it gets interesting.Even with testing every day before practice, all it takes is one to bring it and it spreads for days before someone even pops positive. Wrong profession. I see a future in medicine....I hope you’re right. It just has so many variables. If one player comes down with it during the season will the whole team have to be quarantined? Will the team they’ve recently played have to be quarantined?
I also have thought since this thing started our country will likely get impatient, open early, and create a worse second wave. The curve just started to flatten and we’re already reopening beaches and restaurants
