Big fan of the True Detective series, I actually liked Season 2 more than most, but nothing tops Season 1.

Really like Season 3 thus far, I believe the Priest, Attorney General & the Hoyt Food owner are all involved on the murder of the boy & attempted kidnapping the girl. Her mom was prostituted out to them & her husband probably isn't Julie's father IMO.
Same here regarding season 2. Season 1 was absolutely groundbreaking. I havent seen any of 3 yet but from what you wrote...I need to check it out. M Ali is great and deserved his Oscar from the movie Moonlight.

Agree
Mom is a ***** up to no good and that priest may be a part of it as well

Yeah I'm glad they finally made it evident the mom is involved. Think Julie is the Hoyt CEO's daughter and while he wasn't directly involved with the murder (African safari or whatever the alibi was), his goons had them abducted and then his men on the inside (attorney general) pinned the murder on Woodard.

I will say, though, that this plot is a bit too obvious from what I know in TD but I guess that's all we have to work with so far.
