OT: Trevor Lawrence named starting QB for Clemson

Looks like we've entered a new era of quarterbacking. Coaches are playing freshman QBs left and right.

Feel bad for Bryant. Dude wasn't struggling that bad to get bench. He was completing 66% of his passes, but Lawrence is a legit talent though, so I see the reasoning, but the optics is kind of dirty with this move. And he's a Sr. too. They didn't even give him a chance to transfer out and start for another team. Dam that's effed up, but you roll the dice, and hope for the best.

We were listening to ESPN talk radio on Sunday morning on the way home from the Canes game. They were saying how the fabulous blah blah blah Dabo has handled the 2 QB situation, everyone's happy, on the same page blah blah.. Will be interesting to see how this actually shakes out.

Bryant can transfer if he doesn't play in another game this year. He's a 4th year Senior

He's not an NFL QB so I'd imagine he might do that. Would make things interesting for us in the scenario that he leaves, Lawrence gets hurt, and then they're playing their 3rd string.

Lawrence completing 65% of his passes with 9 TD's and 2 picks. This is same formula Dabo used with Watson, and Dabo has been quoted as saying Lawrence is ahead of where DeShaun was at this point in their careers.

He should redshirt and transfer. He’s **** of a runner and a decent thrower, he could win a lot of games for some teams out there.

Bryant and Hurts should transfer to the same place just to blow everyone's mind.

I think in the future a lot of these qb recruits need to really do their research/homework before committing to a school. Don't just commit because they're winning and on top, but choose based on where you have a legit chance of playing. They don't need to worry about NFL exposure. If you're a legit qb the NFL scouts will find you. I mean Carson Wentz was the #2 pick out of NDSU.

While true, I don't think Bryant can run the offense that Lawrence can run. Last year, Clemson's offense was pretty simple yet effective. Their defense was lights out, which helped, but they certainly were not world beaters on O with Bryant.
