Ah more excuses for a coach whose two losses are far more embarrassing than Miamis three losses. Good coaches find ways to motivate players, right? Isn't that what you'd be saying about Richt if someone told you that these Miami players are Goldenized- mentally weak and pack it in every year if they lose to FSU, so you can't blame the UNC and VT losses on Richt? Herman is a soft coach if he can't get his team to perform against Navy because they are sad daddy might be leaving .
You realize he coaches at Houston right? Houston losing to Navy is no more shocking or embarrassing than UM losing to UNC or VT.
What about 3-4 SMU? That's a tad embarrassing, but I still like him and would take him as a coach. I think he is smart, young and energetic.
That's about on par with losing to this year's VT. Maybe a little worse. I didn't watch that game though. Did Ward play?
According the box score he threw it well, but Houston had zero running game while SMU was extremely balanced.
I know their running game took a huge hit a few weeks ago when they lost their RB. Dude was a transfer from I think Texas and is head and shoulders better than the others. I don't know if he's back or not.
Their running game has also taken a big hit when Ward hurt his shoulder and became a much less used and less effective runner in designed runs.
