Let me just recap this

Hey let's put miami against the same **** team they played last year but let's send miami to siberia to play the game. Both teams suck and are 7 and 5. The story line is so **** compelling. Instead of sending them to a bowl against someone with a pulse like texas a&m.

Ucf won 25 in a row. Here is what we will do let's put them in a bowl against a 2nd tier sec team like Auburn last year. Look how excited those kids will be to play another 2 loss sec team that didn't win their division. You know we cant have them beating Georgia and making the eye test look like we need 6 or 8 teams in a playoff.

Georgia nearly beat Bama. The almighty buffalo bills of the sec need to finish strong. Texas wont let them do horns down so let's bury them with this superpower who can't finish in a big game. Instead of putting them against you know Michigan.

Florida just nearly won something that mattered. I got a great idea. Put them against another mid 90s power Michigan. Desmond Howard will do backflips. It will be awesome. The over will be 10. Fans will rejoice.

Bowl system needs to go. Do a 16 team playoff. Start in december. Kids dont need trophies and bowls are meaningless other than the cfp at this point.

Now where can I find heather dinich for an inside scoop on the genius that is the cfp committee???

Totally agree .......look at FCS model.......it awesome.......

We get what we deserve. You want to get paired with a good team, beating the teams you’re supposed to beat during the season is a good start.

LSU lost 3 (1 of them to UF)

Florida was 8-3 and finished behind 9-3 UK (who beat them and lost one of their games at TAMU in OT-like LSU did)

Syracuse was 9-3 with one loss in OT to Pitt and the other two against playoff teams (Clemson and ND)

UCF v Michigan in Fiesta
UK v Syracuse in Peach

Division 1A football: only level of team sport/football where opinions are emphasized more than on field play. Only level where one can be or play for a national championship without even winning ones division. Simply due to opinions.

This is not a ******* playoff. This is an opinions and money debate club. Terms such as "quality losses", "it just means more" (SEC B/S) or other similar propaganda are often used to justify or manipulate the opinions debate (rankings). Add on the common practices of moving a team ahead in a ranking after losing, not dropping in the rankings after a loss are common, counting in conference losses differently in one conference (sec) vs in others. This is a ******* ****** system.

Regular season needs to focus on playing in your division. Reduce the OOC games, particularly those vs non P5 teams/fcs schools.

True playoff should be implemented. The 5 P5 champions are in. 6th goes to next highest ranked, non P5 conference champion. 6 would be ideal. But then you have those ****** Irash and the "it just means more" knuckdraggers that would pitch a fit about it being actually more fair.

As such I say go max 8 team.....all P5 conference champions are automatically in. Then highest ranked non P5 conference champion, and 2 additional next highest ranked P5 teams or non P5 conference champions.

That would be a true playoff. I fuggin hate bama but im glad they won. Had they lost it would be same set up as has happened. **** it still almost happened. Kirk Herpies was the #1 spokesman.

lol just imagine miami being in the playoffs last year. There really isn't ever more than 4 maybe 5 good teams.

Do we really need ohio state and georgia in the playoffs? Does washington need a spot because they went 10-3 in the pac 12?

Not a fan of a 16 team playoff format, but that was a great post.

It should be a 16 team playoff.

First round higher seed gets home field advantage.
Second round 4 of the new years 6 bowls
third round semi finals other 2 new years 6 bowls
National championship should be not be a bowl game but should purely be the national championship.

You're one of the few with the correct perspective. Eight teams would be a farce. Multiple teams with 2 losses would be in every year along with at least one 3 loss team.

The current system is fine. It allows for a short playoff within the bowl system while rejecting lazy teams like Ohio State that tried to beg its way in last year despite losing by 31 points at Iowa as 18 point favorite, and this year despise losing at Purdue by 29 points as 12 point favorite.

The Buckeyes would have been comfortably in the playoffs both times, among 8 teams. This season Michigan would be in despite getting handled easily by both Notre Dame and Ohio State.

One loss is basically the cutoff point. I have no idea how anyone can argue against that as valid.

Right now the SEC and specifically Alabama receive the benefit of a doubt, with that one loss allowed to come at any point of the season and not be excluded.

Again, the only geniuses arguing against that are the same ones who have been projecting Alabama to fall off the ladder for the past 5 years, every time they play a subpar half of football.

Leave everything as is.

This is actually the best way to handle things, short of multi-game series.

The NCAA tournament is great for gambling. But it isn’t some “pure” system. Picking the 4 best and letting them play means you have a higher chance of the best team winning.

Doesn’t get any better than that.

And the other football divisions do what they do because they already lose money. Having multiple neutral site games would result in more loses.

It’s a financial decision.

The committee didn’t send Miami to Siberia , the bowl chose um and Wis.

As for the four , they got it right.

Anything more than 6-8 teams is way too much. WTers down the regular season and puts mediocre teams in

it worked out right this year except for Notre Douche. those ******** should be in a conference and have to play a conference championship game like everyone else did.

why do those ******** get to be so special ? cant wait till Clemson bends the leprechaun over and goes to town.

I think it is time to move to a 8 team playoff or at least a 4+2 with the top 2 teams getting a bye...

If Power 5 is really a Power 5, make them not play cupcake games.
5 Conference Champions get auto bids. You win a P5, you're in.
3 at large.
8 total.

Would love to see ND have to be in a conference and play by the same rules as the rest.
