OT: Stanford's recruiting class

It depends on the kid though. Stanford isnt for everyone. Standford has a lot of pocket passers. Like, gogeta mentioned their is no speed on that team

USC LB's looked like they could run stride for stride with Stanford's WR

they could...

i played ol...i love watching stanford's trenches do work...those guys were mauling people.....only to have th rb go for 10 yds....lol

At wr....i thought there were 3 Buck Ortega's out there.

Their lbs and secondary is even worse..

One thing to keep in mind is that Stanford doesn't have as many players who are complete busts. Their players have a great work ethic and are smart. Like other schools, they might have some guys who are overrated from a talent perspective but given their work ethic and intelligence they will be contributors.

If my kid had a chance to get a full ride from Stanford the game would be over. Who cares what their record is, the education is second than none and when the other kids are done playing pro ball they will be working for the Stanford kids.

kids generally don't turn down a stanford offer unless distance is a huge factor. When stanford wants a kid they generally get the kid. Thing is, they actually have real academic standards (or did)...the athletes never got much relief...I am wondering if they relaxed their standards some

It sucks that they have a corch.

Da fugg??

Anyway, did Winston sign with FSU yesterday?

No Winston didn't sign. He is playing in some all star game this week and he wanted to wait till he got back home to Alabamer and talk to his parents. On air (ESPN) he said he was all nole, but he wants to talk to his family about it? Kids today I tell yah, anything to stir up more drama/suspense.

I love Miami with all my heart. I went to UM and I am a Cane. But if I had a kid, and he had a choice of any school to play at, it would be Stanford.

They are playing top football now, you get an Ivy level education, you play against very good competition, and you will make relationships that will benefit you for the next 80 years.

I'd pay for Stanford to let my kid play football for them.

They SHOULD be good. And they are committed to better facilities and a stadium expansion now.

Honesty.

And the kid would use a windows based PC, no?

That them there are fighting words around here! We Mac peeps!:-)

Uhh, yea. My kid would have already signed the Stanford LOI. Add to it, look at the OL they signed!

They don't let you on campus at Stanford with a PC. Cupertino is right down the road.

The only thing really holding the Tree back last year was speed at the skill positions. If they had kids who could run at WR and DB, they could have gone toe to toe with anyone. ****, they gave OSU all they could handle.

I would've loved to have Jordan Watkins, he was interested but stopped considering us after the accusations.

I used to have a friend at work whose cousin had to choose between Stanford and Duke. He chose Stanford. Ended up setting the all-time Pac-10 receiving record.

The whole family was smart. My friend went to Yale Law School.
