Being a market guy I'm a bit curious as to the price action of Ye's(is that right? I have zero street cred) sneakers. Has the price of his sneakers gone up or down since his oh-so-educated soliloquies as of late?

Adidas will go back to what they were before.. Im sure some will buy "Adidas 350s" but majority of people were paying $200-300 for "Yeezys".. Adidas wanted to flood the market with colorways and dilute the brand anyway.. Them joints will be sitting soon enough as "adidas 350s"

I do find the situation hilarious for alot of reasons i cant say on this forum though.

They will go back to being a profitable company that has a good chunk of the athletics apparel and footwear business? Hypebeasts need to stop acting like Kanye is Jordan or Lebron. He isn't. He was selling garbage to scenesters with little to no taste. Kanye was putting out crap you could find at target and charging big money for it.

You took what I was saying as a negative, not sure why.. But go off..
 
Dude has had mental health issues since forever...and everybody was riding with this crazy person until it was no longer advantageous to do so.

Thought wokes were all about social-emotional learning, acceptance, understanding, and belonging...but I guess having empathy for everyone but the crazy person when he obviously needs help is a bridge too far.

Pray for Ye.

A couple of his shoes (350s, slides) look sharp. But some of his stuff looks like garbage that a toddler designed. His stuff has nowhere near the consistent quality that Jordans have had for 35 years.

Hate him or love him, Adidas’ popularity growth grew b/c of Ye. Their UB line was on no one’s radar until it was used in Ye’s line.

Furthermore, the reason they r replacing their CEO is b/c, like his predecessors b4, made a lot of costly, moves that have now created an influx of stale products that haven’t moved.

Adidas will be OK in The EU market b/c of their stranglehold on futbol; but, globally is another issue in which the new CEO is going to have to navigate. Even w/ futbol, as it stands, they’ve already had issues paying their overvalued contract w/ Man U. They overpaid to get them from Nike & Man U haven’t produced for them like they wanted & had issues in paying out bonus compensation.

The Adidas athletes are not selling product in the U.S.

Trae Young shoes aren’t moving, neither are Spidas, or Harden. These athletes don’t move the T.V or fan needle like Steph (UA), Ja (Nike), LBJ (Nike), Jokic (Nike), KD (Nike), Zion (Jordan), & of course Luka (Jordan). These r the NBA’s money makers r these r the guys selling jerseys & in consequence, shoes….oh & Kobe (Nike).

So when u have a market that says outside of a particular line, we’re OK on ur products, that doesn’t bode well for a company that already had this issue.
