OT: Saban upset with attendance numbers

Gotta keep it most real.

As the product has been created for TV we have now reached the point where outside of 1 maybe 2 elite matchups per season it is infinitely better to watch from home. Less hassle.

I know at Miami for our Greek students many will just go to the tailgate party on campus and then not jackass to the stadium unless it's a ND/FSU level game. Is what it is

Another point that I think doesn’t get mentioned enough: the state schools that (inaccurately) mock us for low attendance (while also arguably having less than we do) have 20,000 more students. Hard Rock would have to add more seats there’d be so many sold out games if our undergrad population was over 30,000.

Man, must be a busy weekend full of putting burning crosses on the front lawns of them there non caucasian folk to not pack the stadium for their lord and saviour nick saban

Attendance is down everywhere, Kirby smart was complaining about it last game, LSU game had plenty of empty sections last week and the bama game had plenty of empty spots too, it is what it is and they can’t make fun of Miami attendance problems much longer anymore because for the most part fans are showing up

Saban is really fcuking weird, his need to have something to complain about is a mental defect.

Only two schools in the country in a similar situation as Miami being in a large metro area with multiple pro teams out drew Miami last year, USC and Washington.
We had better attendance than, UCLA, Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, Rutgers, Arizona St., GT etc.

I just don't get it. Aren't tix and the ride for students still free?
It's like throwing a party and your best friends are not showing up.
You're expected to be there.

As far as the hassle and jackass to the stadium is concerned,
maybe it's better those who believe this do stay home instead of taking up space.

This coming from a guy who travels as far as anyone to get to Hard Rock to support the 'Canes.

:nelson-haha: Nick the Whiner is at it again. Loved the photo someone posted on Twitter showing the empty seats. :zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg: Maybe he can blame this on rat poison too.

If they scheduled teams that were worth a ****, they might get people to show up. Louisiana though??? Who wants to go watch Bama put up 49 points to UL's 0 in the first half and stick around. Wouldn't you rather sit in your pajamas on the couch and watch small bits and pieces, while watching Clemson get all they can handle from Cuse???

Ain't nobody trying to see an 11:00 AM game between Bama and Sister Mary's School for the Blind.

Without Miami football is boring as watching grass grown again. Saban is an a**. Coaches and players should never criticize fans. Saban is an a**. Dictatorships require everyone to vote or get fined, put in prison or shot. Saban is an a**. Bama football is more boring than OU in the 70's. Saban is an a**. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE U!!!!!!!!

Not only are these games boring as ****, but one of these days a player on one of these. weak and overmatched teams is going to get killed. I know these small schools get a ton of money for playing these games, but is it worth getting someone who is maybe 5'9" and 150 pounds destroyed by a player who is 6'5" and 300lbs?

Tell Saban to stop scheduling three glorified scrimmages at home and all their Power 5 games at neutral sites and they'll have better attendance. How about scheduling a home and home series with someone that is at least a threat to beat you.

That would limit them to about 3 programs in the country. Just saying.

I’ll admit they look good this year. However, no team is unbeatable. Especially when they have to go on the road and play in a hostile environment. Just look at the 2001 Miami team and BC.

There’s a reason them and UF don’t really schedule Home and Home games against the Power 5. The probability of an upset is much higher obviously.

I stopped in Tuscaloosa on my way to Atl from Dallas.
I was tired and hungry AF, pulled of the exit right into this shythole.
1. I’ve never seen an entire town dedicated to a school
2. I was shocked to see it looked at least 50% black

I couldn’t even eat it that dump, worse than Quincy (FL).
I just ****ed on this car at Motel 6 and got tfot.

better attendance then garbage football schools like ASU, GT, UCLA, Rutgers, TCU and AAC schools isn't much of an accomplishment. However, that is why Saban is so successful. He is a perfectionist and always looking for something to fix. The guy gets ****ed when his team only blows teams out by 30 points. That is how you avoid slipping up and losing games that you should have won.
