Absolutely! That being said if you have any info to add, I’d love to read it. I’ve seen all you photos with our ex players. What do they think?

Your key point is some people think he could play here. That we will never know. Quite frankly, a one year rental at "the" key position is not going to help unless he was a special talent. Additionally, Enos runs a completely different system than this kid played at Buffalo. Jackson was a 55% passer in the MAC. NFL did not value him enough to draft.

Ex players??....I have 2 family members who coach/coached in the NFL...(One recently retired)....I have former Canes who stop by my home on a regular basis...If I want info on someone, in regards to their merit, I speak to them...This kid was never, ever even worth mentioning to them...

He is a better option than what we have. Enos also runs a different system than our 3 guys played in. Jackson surrounded by our skill would have been effective. What did you see in our guys that gives you hope?

Would a four way starting quarterback competition have gotten us through the off season any quicker?
 
QB play at Miami has been atrocious for a long time now. Nobody denies that. But that's not the pertinent discussion here. The discussion is would it make sense to bring Jackson in vs the QBs we have here now. And having watched Jackson a lot, knowing he has one year left, to me that answer is no. I would rather keep the competition at Jarren/Kosi/Martell than throw Jackson into the mix at this point. That's in large part because Jackson never impressed me. Yes he's big and strong; yes he's athletic; yes he has a cannon for an arm; but he never looked like a very good QB to me. So, again, to me, it's a no thanks.

@dsddcane is a former Cane and friend....
Nobody would listen to him a yr ago when he told EVERYONE that Richt and Son **** the bed with Taisun Phommachaun and everyone laughed....Funny thing is....in 2020...Taisun will be the starting QB in all probability for a Back too Back NC Winning FB team....Only a Moron couldn't see our QB evaluations have been Trash for some time...

Some valid points but he was a better option than our current trio.

You mean 2021? Lawrence is a soph this year and will be gone after the 2020 season which is his junior year. Taisun should be a redshirt soph then or a junior.

No Jackson could have been a bridge to finding a difference maker. We don’t have one currently and unfortunately we will be what we have been until we get one.

But your entire premise is based on the assumption that Jackson is a better option than Jarren, Tate and Kosi. I personally don't think he is. That's where you and I are disagreeing. Not on these other points you keep shifting to.

We will never know. Just a matter of discussion. People with more knowledge than you or me thought he would have been a better option. Fair points by you also.
