University of Buffalo QB Tyree Jackson was considering a transfer to UM prior to declaring for the NFL Draft. Protected by some as a third round pick with the strongest arm in the draft, he went undrafted and signed with the Bills as an UDFA. According to some people who would know at UM this kid could. have played here.

No thanks.
Dude you might want to talk to people that know a bit more than the CIS experts. We are going into summer camp with 3 QBs that are struggling big time and that is from guys that played the position at a championship level here and watched up close on many occasions. Enos would certainly like to have him

I watched a bunch Jackson's games with my own eyes. Was never impressed.

Not sure the point of this thread.
Let me try to help you out. This kid was coming to UM and was told he projected as a third rounder. He got bad advice, declared when he could have come here, won the job, and improved his status. In case you missed the draft, several UM players declared over the past number of years and they would like a redo as woul
Game is much faster at the NFL level and ball has to come out even faster. Another knock on this kid was he was not an accurate thrower.
Did you watch our QBs blindfolded?

You seem to have quite a hard on for Tyree.

We’re dating. That being said we need plenty of help at the QB position and this kid would have been a nice bridge for a season until we get a QB that can bring us to another level. Again I trust people that know what it takes to play QB over the CIS experts. Have you watched our current group of QBs play? There is a reason we don’t have a starter going into summer ball.

What does this have to do with Jackson's draft status? I said he made a bad decision and should have transferred to a Power 5 school.

I’ll take Martell any day of the week

LOL! Well played.
I’m just a realist who happens to know a few guys that understand the position pretty well, certainly better than me, but not the CIS cheerleading squad. I trust their analysis. It is a QB driven game and our lack of a quality guy at that position over the past 15 plus years is alarming.

In case you didn’t read my initial post the Power 5 school was UM! Thanks for making my point

Agree. And I too have concerns about us at QB right now. I just dont think Jackson is the answer. Just my personal opinion, thats all. But I have watched him play plenty, so I dont say that from ignorance.

Do you honestly think you're the only person on CIS that knows, or is friends with people who know what their talking about??

He played for an awful team and some believe he would have benefited from the skill around him at UM. I have watched the Canes for half a century and our recent QB play is painful.
