OT: Petrino fired after 2-8 season

Someone with twitter needs to @ Blake James and Richt with this. Petrino lives by the sword and died by the sword.

Miami’s administration is a bunch of pu$$ys they don’t have rhe balls to fire Richt. But please fire richt.

Again. It’s premature to fire Richt. That’s reality whether you like it or not. The writing will be on the wall if he makes no changes to staff and doesn’t hire an OC. Next year will be the final straw if this team doesn’t get better.

It isn't premature to fire him.at this point.

Painful? Check.

Akward? Check.

Not premture.

If you take into account his time at UGA, I dont think its premature at all. We know where this program is headed under this leadership. How much more time and recruiting classes will get wasted before we accept our reality. We laugh at FSU but at least their coach is trying something new. We're heading into week 12 of the season and still dont have a QB or identity on offense. We cant seem to score and are about to finish out third season with this coach with a losing streak at the end of the season. I've seen enough !

I believe I said 1 more year if this doesn’t turn around.

In regards to the BBB crowd, the Petrino example is a good lesson. Petrino was never able to replicate the same success he had in his first stint.

Athletic director Vince Tyra announced the move Sunday, saying he "did not have the confidence" that Petrino could turn things around next season and that the change "needs to start happening now."

According to the terms of his contract, the school owes Petrino more than $14 million in a buyout.

Louisville has deeper pockets than UM? Just askin'

That I don’t know … but they clearly have more resolve not to accept the unacceptable. And this is AFTER having to fire a “HOF” Basketball coach and cutting loose their Stadium name sponsor and having one of their worse football seasons in a while. Basically, revenues have to be down, but they pulled the trigger anyway.

You're either committed to winning or you're UM, university of mediocracy.

UM Admin/BOT does not place a high value on athletics. This is reflected by the amount of money spent.

How does a traditional bball school care more about football than a school with five national championships?

Props to the AD. I would guess brohm already said yes..

Louisville ain’t waste no time.

All eyes on you Miami. Make a move.

This is what the BBB don't want to see. Lightning doesn't strike twice. Petrino is one of many examples. You can go back to John Robinson, Joe Gibbs, Bill Snyder. The list goes on. If we let go of Richt, we need to find someone new.
