Not sure it was mentioned on here but didn't see it, PSU is now bowl elgible this year.

Seems like the NCAA buckled on that one quite a bit and it's surprising considering how rigid they are in other cases. They also get their scholarships back by 2015-2016.

Did they have to pay that obscene fine or are they currently fighting it, as they should?
 
1. The NCAA should not have stuck its ugly neck in this
2. the STATE and FEDS should of stepped in and took care of business


we are not going to have a perfect system..but when molesting children is not enough for school admins to punish the football program.....you finally realize the mentality of some of these fan bases.

Doesn't the money go to the victims, or did they have to pay the NCAA?

It seems if they are dropping everything they're going to ge a bonus and get some cash back.

Maybe we can slip them an extra million to take Golden away as their DC next year.
 
The NCAA is just a toothless, floundering, money-grabbing, worthless institution. Everyone knows that. The longer that mafia organization is blown up, the better.

I have no idea really. I can't fathom a reason as to why the NCAA would have the right or jurisdiction to distribute any funds to the victims, but crazy things happen all the time.

As another said, this was a case for the feds and court system IMO.

So we get some boat rides, bowling and Bennihannas and we get crucified and these guys skate after children were molested?

tough to support penalizing the fans and current players that had nothing to do with it. should remain a court issue against those involved.

Dont disagree but what did our fans and current players have to do with Nevin Shapiro??? What did the fans have to do with the Pell Grant Scandel back in the 90's This is unfair to UMs fans and players after what we just went thru for the past 3 years.

no need to preach to me. usc, penn state, and miami all have legit beef with the ncaa

Can you imagine if Folden had gotten the job at PSu and then this happened today. Boy we would have been ****ed. Conversely i hope AL has extreme heartburn today upon finding out that he wouldn't have had to deal with sanctions had he gotten the job. Karma is a *****
