OT: Ole Mi$$ violations worse than previously reported...

But..but...buttttttttt Ol' Paul Finebaum said he heard this was all women's hoops related and that he had full faith and confidence in Hugh Freeze's integrity.

I hate Finebaum, and I certainly don't have much respect for the SEC in terms of integrity... but I'm not so quick to place the blame on the coaches. It's hard to control what your boosters do behind closed doors. Look no further than the Miami scandal. Shannon HATED Shapiro... yet Nevin was paying recruits to play at Miami.

I think there are some great coaches and men in the SEC, and I hesitate to judge someone because allegations dropped about pay for play.

Big SEC boosters hide in the shadows from most of these coaches.

You really think the coaches don't know whats up? Bag men take their queues from someone.

Who did Nevin pay to play here? You would think he would have mentioned that in his interviews, yahoo, book and movie pitches.

How can ESPN/SEC continue to allow guys like Feinbaum to throw the **** out there like it is gospel. He should not be allowed to be seen in person, ugliness would be compliment especially with those floppy ears.

I wonder if ESPN will scream death penalty like they did for us.
Its possible that ESPN does kinda turn their back on them because even with all the recruiting success, they're still a far cry from a compelling national football story.

This. We like to say its not a big news story because they're SEC, but really it's because they're irrelevant. No one except die hard college football junkies gives a **** about some recruiting violations at the state college in Mississippi. There's not gonna be any south beach and yacht parties in this story.

Bama is just as bad as Ole ****.

Yeah but they are the Wiley vets. Ole miss is new money that flaunts it and doesn't know how to be discreet about it. I'm sure their monocle wearing fans are feigning disgust and shock at these shenanigans

ESPN is a partner with SEC via the SEC Network. Think there is a bit of built in compassion for the SEC by ESPN? Did anyone actually believe Freeze could attract Tunsil, the Nkemdiches, etc. with just his budding personality? Houston Nutt?

ESPN now bringing down Disney stock.. They will get more desperate. Get ready for all out protection of their investment at any case. Many have lost their jobs at ESPN.. it will continue. NO WAY ANYTHING HAPPENS TO OL MISS..... period. don't waste your time.

Our guy was some wild lunatic ***** that got his rocks off by being around stud football players and ripping people off.

What we are talking about in the SEC is SYSTEMIC. We're talking from the time a team makes first contact with a high school recruit until the time they either declare for the draft or walk off the field into their futures of local speaking engagements in the diners of the southeast.

Very different things.

Brah...Butch was on probation and if he did anything, it was extremely quiet and it certainly wasn't SEC type ish.

And from 2000 forward, we're talking about the most fertile recruiting ground in the country, the most successful college football program in the country, and the team getting the most guys in the first round of all time. That's not a hard sell bro. It's like the people that are complaining about Kentucky paying dudes, as if Cal gotta do that at this point. Cal just gives them a tape of whatever All-Star game and says I'll be back in 2 and a half hours. Sure, were some unsavory things done to attain some of that talent? It's a high level D-1 program and this ain't Duke.

But brah, if one of these schools get caught out there like SMU, it's gonna make pony express look like The Cat in the Hat.

Imagine that trash. After every talking head just marched along with "Nothing to see here! No football! Pre Freeze! Move along!" Like freaking media yes men.

DIS took a nice hit thanks to college football and related programming expenses. Those idiots top ticked CFB TV rights with the $2billion SEC deal. ESPN eats the jelly donut... Star Wars and the Parks do the heavy lifting. Iger about to make more cuts.

Look for Rece Herbstriet to make another formal on air goodbye to more employees on Gameday this year. Karma *****es na na na na hey hey goodbye

Of course there's some but honestly this is a astronomical business & to assume the majority doesn't take on the necessary risks is flat out naive. You're slightly confused about Shapiro too. Yes onion hated him & tried to keep him away, but that didn't stop hurtt, hill, stoutland & others. Nothing goes down with recruits without the coaches being aware. Doesn't happen.
