Naw, Bears not smart enough to hire Matt Nagy. All they did was re-sign their GM that's gone 13-34 in his tenure to big $ who signed a QB w career winning % of .240 in Mike Glennon over Garoppolo (who's from the Chicago area and wanted to be a Bear) for big $......JUST to give away valuable draft picks to move up one spot to draft a QB in Trubisky who was vastly overvalued and three notches below DeShawn Watson. Naw, The Bears wouldn't hire Nagy....that's too logical for a team that couldn't score 20 points if we paid them to. Sorry, bitter Bears fan here.

So much genius in this post. I'm not even a Bear fan, and I feel bad for the Bears. Their roster management and personnel decisions are starting to rival that of my Raiders.

Leave pat shurmur alone..haven't been able to enjoy a competent Vikings offense since 09 with favre

Holy ****, well said. You always keep it real. Bitter Bears fan too

Being a Hurricane fan and a Raiders fan, I'm kinda over all the Gruden talk

The gruden to raider talk is legit. You better hope he still got it though...he’s gonna get an ownership stake apparently.

Yea, I doubt that he still has it. Long time to be away from the game. The team has talent though, I hope he makes wise decisions about his staff.

Naw.....he draws up plays every day and never sleeps. I just don't see him failing.

And most of those plays are Spider 2 Y Banana.

I think some of your points about the Bears are valid but I have a little different spin on them I guess. The Bears aren't smart but it was the right move to resign pace for now. This next coach will want a similar timeline for his contract as his gm. It would be dumb to not line them up which is why I'm surprised the Bears didn't do that.

The mike Glenn on signing wasn't a bad idea but the bid against themselves and outbid themselves by a large amount. He was signed to what basically amounts to a 1 year deal so that whoever they drafted wasn't forced to start right away. Garoppolo was never an option. He wasn't available for trade last summer if you believe the new report that came out saying Belichek wanted to keep him and get rid of Brady eventually. To be honest, if he was available, the Bears would have screwed it up anyway With their current offense and lack of skill player talent.

Trading up for Trubisky was another example of the Bears bidding against themselves. It didn't look like anyone else was going after him at that spot. Pace has hitched his train to the Trubisky locomotive. Not sure how that will turn out with the lack of talent at wide receiver right now but we will see.

Pace has made some good moves but he is handcuffed by Ted Phillips. The Bears won't get better until Ted Phillips learns to stay away from football operations. He is an accountant that thinks he is a football guru. The Bears are and will continue to be the red headed step child of the NFC until he leaves.

My Predictions:

Raiders - Jon Gruden

Giants - Steve Wilks

Colts - Dave Toub

Bears - John DeFilippo

Cardinals - Jim Schwartz

Lions - Josh McDaniels

Solid. I got people in that area now, and my best friend is from Oakland. Good good people from Oakland and the Bay. Yeah man, I want to win. Gruden hadn't coached in almost a decade, but no doubt we needed a change. Gannon says Gruden will bring an attention to detail that just has not existed in Oakland in a long time. We'll see. We no doubt overpaid for him, but if it doesn't hurt us in terms of hiring a top notch staff and personnel decisions and we can compete year in and year out with the best teams, I'm cool with it. Truthfully though I don't invest nearly as much emotion in my Raiders as I do in our Canes. It was taking too great of a toll on my peace of mind with both teams under bad management. Who you want your Bears to hire? And how the **** did they pass on DeShaun Watson for Mitch Tribisky?

All my boys are Raiders fan, so I would hate on them just so they wouldn’t have bragging rights over me; same as my wife. Lol. I feel the the Gruden hire can either be a Steve Kerr type of hire since he’s been analyzing the game from a different perspective, or it can be a Buck Showalter hire for the Baltimore Orioles. I’m hella intrigued now; and I think Mark showed balls going for this.

Honestly bro; before the Canes, it was the Bears. Literally born a Bears fan, and like you, I had to temper my investment into this team. It don’t matter who we hire; as long as that old tramp McCaskey is still alive (Chicago’s very own Donna Shalala), her limp ****ed son is running the organization w Ted Phillips, we’re screwed.

Since 1990, we’ve had more 1st round bust than any organization. It wasn’t just the Trubisky pick bro; it’s picking Marc Colombo over Andre Gurode when Colombo had questionable knees coming out and we needed C help in 2002. It’s trading away our best TE since Mike Freggin Ditka in Greg Olsen for peanuts. It’s drafting Cade McNown in the 1st, and then not drafting Peerless Price in the 2nd to give him a WR to grow w in 1999. It’s drafting Rex Grossman in the 1st ROUND no matter what year! Bro; no matter who the GM, no matter who the coach, it ain’t gonna change til Virginia McCaskey finally dies and her son feels compelled to sell the squad.

But if I had to choose, it will be Nagy. We need a Coach that speaks QB. Keep Fangio on board as D-Coordinator, but we need a true Offensive minded coach. But knowing these clowns, if they did go w the offensive approach, they’ll hire Josh McDaniels, a proven loser when Coach Bill and Tom Brady ain’t holding his hand. Smh. Thank God for our Canes FINALLY turning a corner. Lol
