Stacy Coley getting some preseason time. Held with the team for 2 years now. They like him up here.

Danny Isadora is pushing for a starting guard spot with our normal guard out for the season with training camp injury.

Wish Miami would have landed Stephon Diggs. I remember us recruiting him hard. He stayed home in Baltimore. He was an athlete out of high school if I remember. Golden and company couldn’t get him.

Do you think Coley will make the team? Also, how many WRs are ahead of him in the rotation, do you think he will get some meaningful snaps this year? Last year he made the team after a pretty good preseason, but he didn't play in the vast majority of the games and I don't believe got a single reception.

For sure he was mostly on the 53 man roster with them last year. He was actually working with the starters as the 3rd receiver in OTAs this offseason but had a injury, was kept out mostly the first week of training camp but recently got back on the field. They think he can be their 3rd receiver from what I saw a few weeks back
 
Stacy will be right there on the cusp. I think he’ll probably make the team again as the 5th or 6th WR. Diggs, Thielen and a bunch after that which includes Coley.

I thought Kendal wright would be thought of higher but apparently not from what I saw Last week
 
I was at the new practice facility on Wednesday. Pretty insane. To think we came from the metrodome and now have probably one of the top stadiums - and our practice facility is absolutely insane. Good times ahead. Owners/people of the state willing to spend finally.

Yet the Vikings love them the Notre Dame connection. Got Notre Dame kids all over the starting lineup. Makes me sick.
 
It sucks to all **** that 2 of our best players are from FSU. (Rhodes who IMO is the best CB in the league) and Cook. Bring me back some Bryant McKinnie action.
 
Coley was the best receiver out of So FL in his class. Wide open all the time. Kaaya was so inaccurate at times, couldn't put the ball within 2 arms' lengths of him, much less hit him in stride. He was a little immature and injury-prone, and he overcame both those issues by his senior season. He's not only good enough to make a team, he's good enough to start. So if MN doesn't sign him, he'll find a spot elsewhere and show out.
 
Coley made the 53 last year because they liked his potential on ST if push came to shove. This year looks like he will slide in as the 5th WR barring any changes behind diggs, thielen, Wright, Treadwell

Yeah - I posted about him earlier in another thread. People are not happy up here that Treadwell remains on the roster - but it is a salary cap issue. Treadwell has a hard hit against the cap since he was a 1st round draft pick.

Most people wanted Stacey Coley over Treadwell easily. Coley was an unfortunate cut because we had to replace our terrible kicker after missing 2 game winning field goals in overtime vs. the Packers on Sunday. We had to sign a new kicker and Coley was the casualty.

Bad luck for Coley too because the only time he was targeted during the game (and in the only regular season game he's been targeted in) - he dropped the pass which he doesn't have any real game film for his career for other teams to look at.
