Most of the time the Green Bay defense is horrible. He hasn't played great this year to be sure but he also doesn't have much help. Green Bay would be a bottom feeder without him.

Exactly. That's like saying that Dan Marino was garbage, because he only got to one SB. A QB can only carry so much. Think about how many mediocre QBs have won titles, and compare that to how many great QBs didn't. Dan Marino, Warren Moon, Fran Tarkenton, and Jim Kelly don't have rings. Yet Jim Plunkett, Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson all have rings, and in the case of Plunkett two.

Winning does matter. Tarkenton got to three Super Bowls in a row and lose to three different teams with good QBs who won more than one super bowl each, Greise, Bradshaw and Stabler. He had a real good defense yet loss three. Our own beloved Jim Kelly, went 0 for 4 with a great running back a good defense. There is more to being a QB than just passing and winning the big game is the most important.
