OT LSU expecting to Hire Brian Kelly

IT WOULD BE SWEET TO HIRE RAYMOND OURSELVES..... sorry for the caps...... Why isn't Miami trying to pick him up and an OC, while we are at it!

I’ll just say it;

When we hired Gattis, I was cool w/ it. I was cool w/ us running a power SPREAD offense (which is not what we’re running at the moment). However, my stomach dropped when it was said Gattis would be the OC AND WR coach. We’ve been 0-for w/ anyone on staff trying to assume two roles. Richt calling plays & HC (failure).
Enos calling plays & coaching QBs (Failure).
Patke coaching LBs & ST (failure).
Baker DC & LBs (failure).
Diaz DC & HC (failure)

Now this may work at other schools, but here, lately? Our coaches have been incapable of handling two assignments.

ive seen OC be the QB coach as well and that makes sense since there is a ton of overlap and you generally work with 1-3 kids vs a room of 6-7 kids.

That’s the most common combo, honestly. I think I typically see a Co-OC coupled w/ WRs. Typically they are an OC in training not calling plays, while focusing on the WR room, learning the ropes of the OC position (or better yet, a fancier title to get them more $$).

I’m sure there’s some successful OCs/WR coaches out there, but here in Coral Gables, the two assignment chit ain’t working. AND HAVE WE FIGURED OUT WHO OUR ST COACH IS YET???!

yeah and usually its a pay bump title

Literally came to post this….

After that FSU game, many were saying 7-5 type year for LSU. Year 1, sh*t ton of new players, lost their best defender for the year etc…

Now it’s very strong chance they finish 9-3 in year 1. Say what you want about Brian Kelly, but he aint a corch and he is about to have x2 the talent he had in South Bend. Exciting stuff for LSU fans, not many expected them to bend over Lane like this today.
Lol I was very vocal about people being wrong about BK.. when he stopped faking the accent and got to work lsu was bound to get better.. he’s gonna turn them back into 10 wins or bust and FAST

hes going to win a multiple titles. he got a dead program like ND w all of its issues in recruiting (inherent issues due to the academics and admin) to a title game and I believe 2 playoffs. they were barely treading water before him. LSU can win any bumpkin a title. Orgeron led one of the greatest teams of all time there. Eating Grass miles won a title and went to 2 title games. Kelly is better than both by a MILE. hes their best coach since Saban. the way they recruit w anyone there, theyre going to be a nightmare under him

to add w our issues at WR and a whole new scheme, It dint make any sense to combine the two (Ill give Mario credit here bc he didnt intend to hire gattis as his OC/WR coach. he was forced to after BMac bounced on him).

I laughed at those that said he would fail because he didn’t fit in the south. Baton Rouge will soon love his fake accent because he is a top tier coach.

That is because we can not.

But I was told, during the summer, that our QB had absolute COMMAND of the offense and it was ready for big things despite some possible issues with the WRs. Then they play an actual game and they can not run an offense at all, especially in anything condensed, our QB can't make anything beyond his first read, the drops are ten fold worse than even the poor reviews prior to the season, and no one does anything if the ball isn't going their way (blocking, keeping route integrity, etc.).

You must have missed how improved the OL was going to look with actual OL coaches.

I never get pumped for Green Tree Reports. I never get hyped off of trashing & thumping a FCS opponent. Let me see us play against an OOC P5 opponent & let me be the judge. Until then, it’s all Kool-Aid

I agree with you, brother.

But this is one of the reasons why our fans are suddenly outraged and poo poo'ing their diapee. The insiders just push propaganda.

I posted all summer guys we’re having issues with the new system and wr’s were struggling. If the wr’s are struggling getting separation the offense couldn’t have been too great. They got their behinds kicked in most scrimmages.

I was more negative than moat iff seasons because I knew the depth was awful even though people argued with me that guys would step up.

Yes, u called the dropped passes & Garcia. Specifically after the BCU game, the Kool-Aid was at an all time, including calling out reports of receivers dropping the ball as being over exaggerated.
