OT LSU expecting to Hire Brian Kelly

Domer job comes open I can see them going after PJ Fleck… guy has slowly built his resume from Western Michigan to B10… had some big wins at Minnesota where it’s never been easy to win there. His team plays tough..-

I think the entire town of South Bend would burn if they went from Brian Kelly to PJ Fleck. I’m certain they think WAY more of themselves to settle for a guy like Fleck.

If you are talking about his 1.8 mil salary listed on the tax records, my understanding is that it isn't even remotely close to what he actually gets paid. ND pays a significant part of his salary into his LLC, and the school allows Under Armour to pay him directly. ND does not have to report either as part of his compensation. Kelly just signed a new deal last year that supposedly gave him a top 10 salary. Given the contract inflation we've seen recently he's probably fallen outside the top 10, but ND has unbelievable amounts of money to pay a HC. They could easily match LSUs best offer.

Makes more sense.His salary (reported) was crazy low.

I bet he leaves. LSU will provide him with a bigger hammer to swing. He’s not winning a ship a Notre Dame. In fact, Notre Dame has hit its ceiling with him.

Hmmm... I had a theory that the only way ND would let Kelly walk is if Urban Meyer wanted the job. I do hope they get Fickell as I don't want Meyer in cfb again unless it's at UM
