Right now its the "Kickoff" that they call the most dangerous play in football. so they will get rid of it.

And now that they did away with the Kickoff, which play in Football is next to be deemed "the most dangerous play football???

will in be "hitting the QB?" "tackling someone form behind?".....i mean WTF..seriously it truly is only a matter of time

before the Insurance companies determine the NEW and NEXT "Most Dangerous Play in Football"

Fedora is a lunatic and I dont think it will bring down America......but this country is getting soft as ****, that's a fact

Might be hyperbolic. That said... he kinda has a point. This puzzy sht will ruin football. We like the violence. It is what it is
Have to agree. They have all of these advanced studies with football, do the same in other sports and study for cte as well when soccer players get injuries from bad falls, basketball as well and race car drivers getting in wrecks and being concussed from those collisions. I bet You would find cte in those cases as well

I would even look into headers soccer players do I wouldn’t be surprised because if you hit it wrong with your head it could be lights out lol

I agree about finding cte related to other sports. I’ve always heard it said that other sports are contact sports but football is a collision sport. As popular as it is and as publicized as some of the violent stuff these guys do off the field, to me, it’s clear why cte is mostly studied among football players.

Disclaimer: bein from Atlanta, I don’t acknowledge NASCAR as a sport lol

One point that gets no attention. The insurance industry is based on actuarial science. There are activities that can make you too risky to insure for life and or health ins or at least negatively impact your insurablity. As far as I know if your play football the injuries might be excluded but it is not a pre-existing condition that would deny coverage(I have no idea hat effect Obama care might have had). One would think If the incident of CTE in football players was significantly higher than normal, insurance underwriting would reflect it.

Losing football is not a threat to our military, Americans have been the most efficient killers since the Spartans or Romans. We train up in months while the average German took years. That was true long before football. Now, losing our masculinity is a different matter. That is a threat to our nation. History is full of civilizations falling after becoming effeminate.

Don't they play rugby all over the world? That's some crazy sht. A mass of humanity in a territorial struggle. So based on his logic looks like all militarys are equal.

I was in the Army. I never played football...but I did love shooting big fancy expensive weapons.

His tough year is about to get tougher as UNC has been charged with more violations & are facing 12 or more player suspensions to start the season. LOL ... players were selling school issued merchandise...

I believe they're talking about taking the head ball out of soccer until high school. I played hockey my whole life and feel like I had 1 maybe 2 concussions, we called it getting your bell rung, you shake out the cob webs and get ready for the next shift. Knowing what we do now obviously that isn't the way to handle head injuries. At the same time I would still play hockey if I had the choice to do it all over. At 40 I still skate twice a week and can feel many if the aches and pains from hits I took in college.

Does anyone remember that during the Duke game they pointed out that the Blue Devils were unknowingly testing some new impact sensors that the Duke science department had been working on that's supposed to one day allow real time tracking monitoring of collision force and head trauma? The goal is to one day be able for a team doc, or more likely an independent specialist, to assess severe hits and preemptively remove a player from the game for further evals.

I wonder how they're coming along with that.

Did you really try to argue Basketball, Soccer and race car is as dangerous as Football? Sure, concussions occur in every sport but nothing comes close to the amount of beating football players take, particularly in the head. Get ******* real.
