They ended up basically giving up J Rich and a 1st for a guy who is a FA and they don’t have space for by their own doing.

I always laugh when ppl start throwing out legacy while a guy is still playing and still
Has a lot playing years left.

These fake asterisks and knee jerk narratives never stand the test of time vs stats and ships and I’ll give you examples

Tom Brady
Whose still crying about the tuck rule game?

What about Tom barely getting enough yards for vintari to kick the game winning fg for his 1st ring?

Spy gate?
Deflate gate?

Whose still crying about Jordan pushing off?

Who besides canes fans discredits OSU 02 ship?

Who still call Magic Johnson “Tragic Magic”?

The only thing that stands the test of time is winning. And had Durant stayed and won a total of 5+ ships no one would be able to discredit him.
 
Might be the unpopular opinion, but I don't have a whole lot of respect for KD after he got beat by GSW in the playoffs, then takes a discount to go play with them and win championships.

Imagine Magic Johnson losing to Bird in '84 and saying, "We should play together." Ridiculous.

Personally, I think its a wimp move. Same with Lebron going to Miami, gaming the system, getting paid less so he can win championships.

At the end of the day, he'll have those rings and NBA Finals MVP's under his belt. Good for him. Still, wimp move, and I'd say it to his face unapologetically.

I don’t have a problem with KD moving teams and doing what he felt was best for him..just going to the dubs was the one team he should’ve personally said I can’t do that..Bron to Miami is not the same..still I won’t discredit either. I know KD is great. I know Bron is great.
