McCollum is a baller to. They just need an elite big. Losing Aldridge hurt them.

Curry is clearly better than Dame.

McCollum is THE BUSINESS.

He can’t d up like Klay, though.

Portland is good, but the Warriors are superior top bottom.

With more scoring at the sf, another shooter off the bench, and a little more defense, they could compete with the Warriors better.

Now that KD is gone, I really look forward to that matchup.

The West just got real interesting. The Lakers are the wild card.

Nobody on planet earth think dame a top 5 player..curry definitely a better shooter in all areas..even a better finisher at the rim..dame nice

Those dudes are soft in the head and everyone knows it and that is why with all their talent they can’t carry their teams the way Dame can.

But hes obviously someone you have to surround with PLENTY of talent to get anywhere. I dont see how this heat team will be much different from the bulls team Jimmy was on before Dwayne at best . Even worse jimmy is a **** of alot older now. Hes a piece that's nice as a compliment. But somehow Hassan is disregarded & the rest is just blah... dont see the point in this UNLESS it's a first step for THIS season.

1) you said “save money” the Heat wouldn’t be saving money. They already have one of the highest payrolls in the NBA. Google it. So there is no saving money for them. It’s only getting more bang for their buck. So yes finishing 4-5 is better than finishing in the lottery with their payroll.

2) you said wait for contracts to expire so spend the next 2 years at the back of the lottery. How is that better Than the move made today?

3) manually create cap space...what do you think they just did? They signed a max player without any space available.

4) there is no tank with this organization ppl need to move on from that all together it’s not an option with them.

5) if you’ve been paying attention since the LeBron Heat Era. The league is all about “teaming up” with other friends and super stars. It doesn’t matter if Fans don’t think Jimmy Butler is a tier 1 Star. He’s connected and has relationships with the top players in the game and through those relationships it makes the Heat a more attractive FA destination.

So in context the heat get more value for the money they are already spending. And are in a better position to build a contender faster.

With what? No trade chips and (I'm just asking based on what you said )no money to spend. The lottery is a wasted pick every year whether it's because of crap evaluations or an inability to develop the picks. Or of course pat just giving the picks away. Honestly it's a very frustrating situation being a heat fan. Personally I think Hassan is tremendously neglected as well which makes me furious. I get hes got a **** attitude. But the kid has talent and its wasted on spoelstra. No comment on him either.

Whiteside is a pouting child whose not as good as he thinks he is. He's awful defensively minus his weak side blocks. Can't guard the pick and roll and he's below average on the ball. Picks up a lot of dumb fouls. He's a liability on defense which is why he doesn't get the minutes that he wants. Instead of working on his game and getting better he's too busy crying.

Good list, but you missed some guys. Here are my additions (in bold)

Boggie's good, but he's not the top big anymore. Injuries and today's NBA has passed him by. His style of play doesn't fit today's game.

One thing it is doing is clearing up space and getting rid of bad contracts to give Miami the flexibility to make moves next year. Riley not done wheeling and dealing this offseason. Beal still a real possibility

He definitely is talented, can be a bit lazy at times but he never really bought in to the heat culture and he was mishandled in terms of his playing time on the court honestly since he signed the big contract to Miami

Yeah but it ain’t a runaway. Portland is a bigger threat now with KD departing.

They need more pieces though. White side will help rebounding and defense but they need a lot more scoring from the 3 or 4 and more help off the bench.

I don’t have harden in the top tier. The way he plays doesnt work in the playoffs

Jimmy Butlet just knows how to play basketball. Finds his spots on the court with the best of them. Defends with the best of them. Nothing flashy but he knows how to but the ball in the hoop. Top 10-15 player in the league.

Not sure why Wall is a dump for them. I think hes one of the best players in the league when healthy. His speed with the ball is unseen. Lacks a jump shot but does everything else at an elite level.
