@nystateofmind , you are truly a SPORTS conaisure. JACK of all trades sort of speak. just want to pass it on.Boston has only lost like 5 games this year when they have their Big 4 all healthy.
Thing is we have barely even played the players we just traded this year so that doesn’t impact this team negatively when you think about it: this is a win for Miami especially on the defensive end. Let’s see if we can get Gallinari deal doneGood deal for the Heat, got rid of Johnson's and Waiter's contracts and landed Iggy. Jae Crowder and Hill are both guys who defend their position well so they fit what Miami likes in their role players.
Yep. Riles playing chessthe heat basically siad well give you the option if no one else comes. i think well decline it though and allow him to go wherever he wants or retire
I understand why Gallo would feel that way, but he’s a shooter and his game ages well, I think he would still be able to put up good stats and get that last contract he wanted if he signed a 1 and 1 with the heat. Plus he’s always hurt, so another injury hurts his chances in free agency this season... should take the money that’s there right now given his history.
End of the day Miami needed wing defenders. Our Defense has been lacking from December on. That 2-3 zone is going to get ate up vs teams who shoot 3s in the playoffs so getting guys like iggy and crowder Is big in that sense. This allows us to play more Man to man defense which can’t be ignored as that’s a big positive. Not to mention how we have shedded 3 bad contracts(yes Winslow is a bad contract as hes always hurt).Kind of upset that we didn’t get Gallinari but at the end of day they still improved some for sure especially on the defensive end and with playoff experience. We have enough shooting elsewhereLove, love iggy. Great vet, great defender. Playmaker whose smart with the ball in his hands. High IQ. That said, without Gallo, this move doesn't bring us closer to entering the elite tier the Bucks/Raptors are in. Iggy isn't going to make us a significantly better road team. We needed Galo and Iggy. Gave up a core, young piece in Winslow. Hill is an expiring contract and Crowder is overrated. Can't play Crowder with Iggy/Bam, Iggy/Jimmy or Jimmy/Bam because he's too bad of a shooter. Will be the 10th or 11th man. Playoffs are all about your top 8/9 - already have Jimmy, Bam, Nunn, Iggy, Dragic, DJJ, Herro, Robinson, Leonard (not a big fan) or Olynk.
