Actually I can And I did....my point is made....Namath more popular than Clyde...
Also I stated WHEN Pearl got to NY he became more popular...so obviously I know he was from ring 2....and Ring 1...Willis Reed was more Popular and reason they won the title.

No Willis was NEVER more popular...Why??...because he came back from the Injury??...Lol....Clyde IS the reason for Ring 2....Hence MVP....Clyde was the NBAs Best Defensive Guard from 69-73...All Pearl did was shake and bake....My Dad had season Tickets to Knicks from 66-72 (even when Cazzie Russell was there)..and A Mets season Ticket holder from 68-73...I was at the 69 World Series...and also at the 69 NBA Championship....There was NEVER in NYC History ANYTHING Like the 69 Mets Ticker Tape Parade....NOTHING....

Meant MVP as in his Legendary game 7 against the Lakers....He DESTROYED Goodrich....Go chk Clydes Stats...then go look at Namaths stats....Namath wasn't ****....Don Maynard and Boozer were just as Valuable than Namath....

Bro...you know it was a different era....all the qbs had high INts due to the rules or lack thereof.
I said before he was a top 3 QB from that decade.
I havent even talked about his notoriously horrible knees and that is what people also talk about.
All the QBs from late 70s and 80s Wanted to be Namath.
As a pure vertical passer, try timing a pass in that environment of no rules for DBs. The rules have changed over the years to make the game more pass happy.
Joe called his own plays. No real time video with Offensive coordinators analyzing during the game, no real time info like today. His 4007 yards is amazing in 14 game season. It was not broken until we had rule changes and high tech enter the game and that was a decade and a half later...in a 16 game season...

You are hopeless and ridiculous....you are just being a hater....He did more than any other player to make the merger between the AFL&NFL happen. Without a strong NY AFL team, and Namath's charisma and rifle arm the AFL would have failed.
He helped make the Super Bowl what it is today. The Super Bowl never even sold out in It's previous years. You can also make a case for him being partly responsible for the NFL taking over as our nations number one sport, overtaking baseball in the late 60's while Namath was getting world wide notoriety.
Ask anyone about that and they will tell you the same. There are NFL programs and documentaries as well as tons of books regarding this fact.
