OT: Hotels for Norte Dame Game

Going to the Norte Dame game this year. Never been. Looking for recommendations on where to stay. In town? Elkhart?

ChiTown all the way. Many, many hotels off of Michigan Ave between the River and Oak St. Every price point. Super fun neighborhood where you can do everything on foot.

Forget Elkhart!

traffic in downtown chicago is a nightmare and the hotels are expensive but yeah you will have a much better atmosphere than staying in indy

Fly into Chicago, stay there then drive 2 and a half hours in a rental car to south bend. Also a train that leaves from chicago for gameday if you don't want to rent a car.
