OT-Hester to hall?

And if the Niners just give him the ball late in that Super Bowl, he has a Lombardi to his credit...

Have to say I was pulling for Reed to get that 1 and for Ray to go out with #2.. Thought Gore would get back.... Either way, Gore is a lock...

I think he'll get a nomination for the HOF, anyway.

Would be great to get another Cane from a different position in there.

I'm not sure it's going to be so easy. https://sports.yahoo.com/former-bea...bt-****-be-in-the-hall-of-fame-134122264.html

It's borderline impossible for a specialty player to make the HOF. Think about it, Ray Guy is BY FAR the best punter to have ever played, it took them decades to get him in. Think about how many true kickers are in the HOF, there aren't many. Hester was a return specialist, that didn't do anything else, and one could make the argument that he had a relatively short dominant period. He had 11 return TDs his first two years in the NFL, and in the last 9 years combined had 8 returns scores. While he holds practically every return record, I don't know if the media is going to buy this guy as some can't miss HOFer.

I hope that they do, but if guys like Jerry Kramer, Bob Brown and Kenny Stabler can be kept out of the Hall for decades, then...

Hester should and will get into the HOF. We can debate how long it will take, but it’ll happen.

I don't know...to my knowledge, other than Ray Guy, no dedicated ST player has entered the hall.

There is no doubt he is the best kick returner ever, but on its own, is it enough to be selected for the Hall?

IF he gets in, it would be a good, long while.

I'll likely be an old man when it happens.

"Eeeeeheeee, he was doing that for us when it was all about the U. Eeeheee, back in mah day, players actually tackled each other...and we was bettah for it. We got dem 10 national championships and the Gators havent beat us in 60 years....time for mah diaper changing; I got orange & green 'uns. Come 'ere you whippasnapper, let me tell you about Sean Tayyyylor. EeeeEEeeeeheeeee....."
Jan Stenerud is in the HOF too.

Only 2 kickers (Stenerud, Morten Anderson), and 1 punter (Guy).

As much as I’d love to see Devin in the HOF, he’ll be passed up for quite awhile. He still has a few seasons to wait. We’ll need to see the other nominees eligible when Hester is. I think Andre Johnson, Vince Wilfork, and Demarcus Ware retired after 2016, same as Hester.

Let’s hope the next half dozen or so enshrinements adds Edge, Wayne, Dre, Vince, Hester, Gore, and Coach Jimmy Johnson.

Hester and Gore are locks for the HOF

Gore in this age to do what hes doing on two busted knees is so savage he should be considered one of the greatest of all time period especially with the athletes out there now compared to then.
