I didn't get into it until about a year ago. I never pay for HBO and the occasional episode I would see during free HBO weekends made no sense to me. I thought it was just some dungeons and dragons **** with ****. But after practically everyone i know raved about it, i finally started from the beginning and binged the whole thing in like a month. I was hooked. It's definitely one of my all time favorite shows.

The thing I love about George R.R. Martin is there really is no good or bad in his stories. There is no happy or sad. It's just survival. I bristle at the notion that the Lannisters are villains and that Daenarys and the Stark's are heroes.

Probably my favorite moment was when Cersei (my favortie character) took out the High Sparrow.
The Starks I love cause there real and noble af, but this show does a good job of making u hate a certain character then u wined up liking them then hating them again. But the Starks are noble as ****

Well, remember that GOT is inspired by European History. I won't go as far as saying it'll have a happy ending, I think it'll have a hopeful one. Martin isn't that much a nihilist. Think Season 1 finale.

The depth and breadth of the Game of Thrones story is unrivaled. It's the best. Sopranos was ground-breaking and basically created HBO in terms of its original programming, but not better than GoT

I haven't read the books but the show has a pretty clear bad guy/good guy angle. Cersei has always been portrayed as evil although they've made Jamie into a likeable foil. John Snow is such a friggin' goodie goodie I can only hope he does some dastardly **** like killing Dany. I can't imagine the show could end with the dead army controlling the entire 7 kingdoms. Or could it?

I’ve seen it once through and it took me 2 1/2 weeks to watch the 7 seasons or however many there are. Breaking bad will always be my favorite show but GOT is obviously up there as well. Clearly I liked it if I watch that many seasons that quickly lol. Need to rewatch it all before the new season tho
