OT Gophers Rashod Bateman opts out of Jr year

A couple projected first round picks have already opted out. I’m just sayin’, dog.

We are in the middle of the biggest financial crisis in nearly 100 years (91), and you think it’s smart for a projected first rounder to risk millions? Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyt (dude from the Wire’s voice)

And Rousseau is probably top 10 right now!

I just don’t see the wisdom in it. Not one Iota!! <DBC voice>

You didn't answer my question. What is the risk? If Covid doesn't exist, Rousseau isn't thinking about opting out. So why should he now?

I remember when Marcus forston And ray ray were projected as first rounders before their junior year....stuff cha gets in a year. How about Matt Barkley?
C'mon man. You're ruining the narrative that selfish covid jellyfish are going 1st round...

hes NOt a lock if he doesnt play this year. so All possible first rounders should sit every year? because there is no Special, increased risk of injury this year...Only of a virus
Greg is a lock for the first round. Have you seen the mock drafts? I've seen a couple of mocks, and they all have Greg going in the top ten. At worst, Greg falls out of the top 15. I can't see him not being a top 32 selection. Too much raw talent and potential considering he only started half of the year, and put up that kind of production. Be realistic.

So it wouldn't be better not to play and secure that 1st round status then.

Umm, maybe he enjoys playing and has committed to a team.
True, and those are good reasons but I would never fault a kid for securing his financial future. Right now, he's in-line to make tens of millions of dollars. Why risk it?

I love my Hurricanes but I wouldn't get mad at him for choosing to secure stability for himself and his family. These collegiate athletes make no money off of playing but risk losing money and future endorsements from being injured or having a drop in production.

It’s a risk every year for anyone who is draftable. By your theory, no one would ever play if they were projected To be drafted Because they would be risking millions
You aren’t far off. I’ve already said any player that’s a projected 1st or 2nd rounder should opt out

How many guys who are "projected" 1st or 2nd fall off tho.. Happens every year..

I have heard scouts/coaches/exec say that maybe can petition to get underclassmen at a senior bowl type event but they want film at end of day.

i dont think any junior should ever return if theyre getting first/second round grades. go get that bag and the NFL wants years in the league at the end of the day not a fourth year senior tape.
