OT: FSU season ticket sales facing major swoon in 2019

I was at the clemson game...left at halftime ...proclaimed it was goldens last game as i walked out and sure enough he was gone the next day i believe .

I spent the entire second half riding Sweatbox and Doritos, and they could hear me. My wife almost divorced me that day.

I was the guy yelling at them “good look coaching New Jersey high school next year”, among other things. By the time Clemson hit 40-50, you could hear my fūcking echoes.

i was there as well. I was part of the mass exodus at halftime. Lived in PPines at the time. Got home in time to watch the rest of the masacre and the empty stadium on tv. It was a direct message to all that the fans had enough and turned their back on Golden. There was nothing left for James to do except fire Golden.

That fat, saw'rass MFer should've been fired during, or after the 2014 season. ***** went 6-7 with an obvious 10-11 win team...SMH!!!

Man, Clemson whooped them so bad that it turned an FSU fan literate

Look at that picture and immediately think of two things:

1) How we felt during the Clemson game that got Al Golden fired
2) How we were likely to feel this entire season if Coach Richt wouldn't have retired

Yes, but only Miami fans refuse to support losing. All the other fans are true to their teams regardless of records. It seems that winning does matter.

I would have been miserable Lu...literally the definition of false hope

You should've been up here during that season. Also your wife seems like a steal; good for you.

REMEMBER FSU fans are BETTER they support the team regardless of their performance on the field. This is the opposite of us fair weather Miami fans.

I imagine our seats will be slightly down this season. The two best games are on the road. Virginia is the best home game this year

That — and just because 2018 tickets sold well after a good 2017 season — the home party ended after that October 6th win against Florida State. Two straight road losses had UM at 5-3 when returning with Duke in early November and no one cared when Pittsburgh came to town with the Canes at 6-5.

Notre Dame at home in 2017 and Florida State at home in 2018 were a huge reason ticket sales were what they were; as it's cheaper to buy the whole lot of home games than to try and chase down those tickets individually.

Home schedule is garbage this year, outside of Virginia Tech .... Bethune-Cookman, Central Michigan, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Louisville don't move any needle.

I was there too.

I remember the guy with the fire donofrio banner that the event staff made close it up.

And watching the guy in front of my me evolve from pro golden to fire golden with every touchdown scored.

Attendance figures from 2018:

Savannah State - 60,307
FIU - 59.814
North Carolina - 60,845
Florida State - 65,490
Duke - 62,754
Pitt - 59,606

I believe they sold in the area of 43,000 season tickets last year so those tickets get counted regardless of actual attendance but that means they still sold almost 20,000 individual tickets for Duke and 16,000 for Pitt. I'm not 100% positive but 2018 might have set a UM attendance record.

Boise will be UP for that game too
As much as I'd like them to be undefeated when we meet so we can crush their season, i think Boise State will be tougher than they expect.

I will never ever ever ever ever understand this position. I want FSU to have their season ruined the 1st game through the last game of every single season. I want them to be humiliated by every team they face (well maybe they tie every year with the turds) including us, every year.

It's simple. I want them to think they're having the best season ever and then the pain will be that much greater when we destroy them.

But your way works too. As long as their season ends in humiliation and we beat them, I'm good.
