Bad news for FSU … They're stuck with Taggert.

After this season, his buyout is $17 Million. They don't have the cash to pay that. The Athletic Department is in debt, lost money last year, and had to raise donations just to make operating expenses match revenues. This year's projections don't look any better as football season tickets are down, and so is their ancillary revenue.

Unless they can get funds elsewhere, they are in a boatload of hurt right now.

Right now, there's a huge culture problem at FSU. Taggart's garbage but he inherited the problem from Jimbo. The inmates have been running the asylum for a while there, it was just easy to ignore when Jameis and company were rolling teams. They replaced a guy who let his star players do whatever they wanted with another "player's coach" who doesn't command respect.

And the more they suck, the emptier Doak will be.
 
When someone said during the broadcast that Willie said he feared the team wasn’t in shape I knew then there is no way this ever works out.

Not taking their conditioning and off season workouts serious is the #1 sign of a team that doesn’t fear and respect their coach and isn’t committed to winning.

I’d like to think that buyout is too massive but the 42 we hang on them at Doak might make it palatable.
