FSU is in a lose-lose situation. They don't have that Texas money to get themselves out of a bad deal. If they fire Taggart after year 2 then they will make a cheap, lazy hire and we know how that goes. Not to mention because of Willie's buyout it will ensure a 4-5 year commitment to a cheap hire who will probably just be the white version of Willie Taggart. We're looking at potentially 6-7 years of incompetence for FSU. Welcome to our passed 15 years.

He has the best agent in college football. Can't fault Willie for fleecing FSU. Guy is brilliant and set for life.

They need a miracle. They need someone with experience, but not just some retread. Do they risk hiring a young, unproven guy? At least unproven at this level. They can't afford to hire a top notch coach if they are buying out Taggart.

I'd suggest someone like Craig Bohl from Wyoming. He was a huge winner at NDSU, and has Wyoming playing at a much higher level than before he arrived. ****, they just beat Missouri. He's 61, so not exactly a spring chicken, but all he does is improve every team he coaches. He'd sure as **** instill more discipline in FSU players than Taggart.
