OT: Fly that Banner! UCF Edition

Because they held an SEC-West team to less points than Austin Peay, Memphis, & USF?

The transitive property doesn't work in anything but math. They held Auburn to a lower point total, but throughout the season, was unable to stop teams with significantly lesser talent. The only thing we learned from UCF's win in the Peach Bowl was that they could beat an SEC school in a one game situation, if it was the biggest event of their lives. That's all. All of UCF's posturing is crap, it stems from insecurity. They know perfectly well they couldn't consistently compete with the big dogs. If they believed they could, they would go out and aggressively schedule like Houston did a couple of years back. UCF isn't, and it isn't because people are scared of them, it's because UCF is following the Boise State model. In other words "Play one team worth a **** all year, and then go and whine about not getting respect after ambushing the one team worth a ****".

They are still trying to convince themselves they're champs when their claim to fame is a 4 loss Auburn team. LMAO

LOL...your argument lost all credibility when you said Houston aggressively scheduled a couple years back.

Besides OU, who were these juggernauts that Houston "aggressively scheduled" (LOL) in 2016?

You do know that Houston lost to Navy & Memphis, & got smashed by SMU & SDSU, right?

Let UCF have happen to them what happen ed to us in 2000, then I'll cry them a river.

Its like Boise State or Iowa.

Have a tougher schedule if you're so bad.

I agree that with their weak schedule, they really have no claim to the national title. Sorry but if your strength of schedule is like 90-something, forget it.

With that said, What are they supposed to do about it? They play in the AAC and unless there's another round of conference realignment, there's nothing they can do about that besides beating every team in their weak conference. They try to schedule out of conference P5 opponents but nobody wants to touch them with a ten foot pole. There's no reward for a P5 team to play against UCF. If they win, big deal. You beat an AAC team. If they lose, well...you lost to an AAC team. They smoked an admittedly bad Maryland team last season and had a game vs Georgia Tech cancelled due to the hurricane. No powerhouse wants to schedule the up and comer and possibly get embarrassed on national TV the way Oregon did to Boise a few years back. They would probably have to go undefeated for three or more years straight before they got a playoff shot. It's just the way college football is.

It's hard for a lot of people, myself being one, to take you too seriously when you give up 1400yds and 100pts in your last two reg season games vs USF & Memphis.
