OT: Espn

You guys can't have it both ways. I was at that sht show of a game and a bunch of Miami fans were yapping about "that's how we do things in the hood" and a bunch of other garbage. Now you guys are complaining about the fact that ESPN is bringing up the brawl and how it puts Miami in a negative light.

They are complaining about ESPN inaccurately reporting (FAKE NEWS) they have not played since the brawl. Had they simply reported about how Saturday's game is interesting bc of the Butch/Miami angle & the previous brawl, that would be understandable.

Not all fans of Miami are demographically/ culturally the same. Some think that's acceptable behavior, and others want to hold our players to a different standard. Our fanbase is extremely diverse as opposed to a team like Wisconsin for instance.

I don't complain about the hate, because I think it motivates our players (plus it's pretty funny). I do, however, acknowledge the obvious narrative that the majority of sports outlets push on us despite our obvious steps forward under CMR.

What does a chain have to do with “thugs” lol

To us Canes fans? I see where you’re coming from, BUT If you were to ask anyone else in The country to dress up like a “thug” (you and I know what the code word means), the first thing they’d grab is a giant gold chain.

We are throwing it in their faces (intentionally or not) and it’s glorious to see every **** time.

Stop. You're making sense. It's far less "sensational" when they talk about us without mentioning brawls, past coaching failures, last season's finish, the loss to LSU, etc... Like I said, it's the narrative and bias against us. I feel like even if we keep winning the most we'll get is acknowledgement that we are winning, but I always expect some kind of stupid jab at our image or past failures. Haters gonna hate, but even they acknowledge that college football is better when we're relevant.

Tony Montana: You need people like me so you can point your ******' fingers and say, 'That's the bad guy.'
